Brutal service on Father’s Day. Basically tried to deter us from coming in by saying there was no tables so we asked about the patio and there was no one up there so we went up. Although in retrospect the. Deterring should have given us a clue. We attempted the patio but after gettting menus and no one coming back for 15 minutes and it was cold and windy I check with the restaurant again and there were several empty tables so we moved inside. Placed our order immediately because we had 15 minutes with the menu and after about a half hour we were told they were backed up in the kitchen. Nothing offered to the two children under 7 to busy them and no time estimate on when we would get food. Then 15 minutes later two meals came out. Not the fathers or the childrens. Then 15 minutes later they came back to say something happened and they would have to put the order in again. After another 15 minutes another apology and still no time frame we just said can we just cancel the order because the kids were starving and she said that is what she would suggest. Then said I’ll see if we can do something for you. Mind you ther restaurant wasn’t full or busy aside from a private room where all the food was going. Then she returns with the bill for everything minus what food we didn’t get and so I said so what was done for us? She said we took the other meals off. But we never received those meals after waiting over an hour so I was confused what they were doing to help ease the terrible situation. Then she says I’ll go get the manager.We wait another 10 minutes which we would have fathered just pay the bill to get out but didn’t have it and then the manager comes and says are you looking for me. Our waitress and the manager were obviously having a very confused day. Confused with their jobs and how to deal with customers. Won’t be back. Loved the old spot. Not sure what happened between then and now but I remember the service there used to be amazing. Not the case today. Ps the manager also told me they took the meals we didn’t get off the bill as if it was a gift but did end up taking 50% off the bill when I recapped what we went through. Read moreTrash establishment I Showed up at the Lion's Head Tavern on July 16th 2023 we walked in and began going up to the patio where my family was waiting for us. A man claiming to be the assistant manager stoped my mother and told her “you’re not welcome in the establishment” when asked since when he proceeded to say last weeks. This Past Tuesday she came to the restaurant for a family dinner (they did not book an event just showed up with 15 people) and her among others in the group politely questioned the restaurant charging 18% gratuity to everyone’s bill including kids! They asked for a policy and they couldn’t produce one off hand. They then proceeded to take 20 minutes to produce a typed written note no date or signature because again no one booked any events!!! Mind you the day of the dinner they didn’t say anything to my mom about this.
Fast track now today we are trying to celebrate my nieces 10th birthday and we walk in and the assistant manager informs mom she’s no longer ever welcome in the establishment…. And then proceeded explain when she asked for how long and he replied life. She asked if he could do that and she said yes he then proceeded to tell us out load about a community member who we happen to know by name that is also not welcome in the establishment like it’s not a breach of confidentiality! Also what does this community member have to do with us? We don’t hangout with her or anything.
We give this place a lot of business especially on Tuesdays at wing night but I’ll let you know we won’t ever! Food is always cold or undercooked… assistant manager also said they made the decision due to multiple situations however if this is true wouldn’t you speak to her after the first? Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would! Worse customer service and a horrible experience!! Went to the Lions Head Saturday night to have a girls night and hopefully sing some Karaoke (last time we were there even though we were one of the first to put our request in we were never called. Two of us arrived early and it was very busy. It took quite a few minutes for the waitress to come and get out order. We said we were waiting for 2 more and would order food then. We order our drinks and sat waiting for them, 10 minutes later the waitress comes by and says what were your drinks again. Our other friends arrived shortly after and we sat for 25 minutes without the waitress even acknowledging our presence. One of the ladies in our group got tired of being ignored and said loudly waitress. A bit later she came over and told her that she would not wait on her, she would wait on the rest of us but not her, then left. A few minutes later security came over and told us we all had to leave. My friend that called the waitress over said I said it I will leave but I want to talk to your manager. Security told her that the manger didn’t want to talk to her so she went and found the manager who told her he knew nothing about what had happened. He also said that she was his best waitress and that she was the only one on! We all were ready to leave at this point and he offered a 20% discount for what we had ordered earlier. I understand that as a waitress that being called over may be upsetting but so is sitting for 25 minutes without being acknowledged. At least have the decency to tell us that you are busy, the only one on and you will be with us in a few minutes.
