Update: It is now August 2024 and they still haven't contacted me. Horrible customer service. If you write a response saying you will contact me do so...don't just say it to make it look like you are resolving an issue when you don't. Such bad business practices. It is really not nice to be ignored.
We went to Fog Company on Sunday evening with friends visiting from Kansas. We saw a few mixed reviews but I have heard some good things and the website and photos looked amazing. We proceed to get in the short line and order. We ordered a Gimme S’more and a doughnut sandwich. The staff seemed to be flustered with the other customer order ahead of us and as we ordered found out the soft serve ice cream machine was acting up. The Gimme S’more comes with chocolate soft serve but they said it was not working at all and offered us twist or vanilla instead. We asked for a twist. They struggled to get that to work and then the staff all cheered when it did…it looked very soft to me and then they continued to build the item. They ran out of something and put some pink crumbly stuff on the Gimme S’more. It did not look even close to the photo. The doughnut sandwich had very melted vanilla inside (we asked for a twist) and the doughnut did not taste that fresh. Overall very disappointed with the presentation (what they are know for) and taste with their alternate substitution in the Gimme S’more. I wrote them on Monday morning with our complaint on their website with no response at all. I see with some reviews here that there seems to be a stock response to contact them to further discuss their experiences. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt before writing a review but I have not heard anything from them. I would not recommend this place. Don’t get caught to the hype and the cute store front. Our friends thankfully got hard ice cream and said it was decent but pricy but did comment on how filthy the seating area was. The tables were gross with used napkins and melted ice cream. It looked like nothing was wiped down at all for a while on most tables. There were ice cream and topping messes on the floor and the garbage was...
Read moreI want to reach out to the management about the Asian guy who’s working in The Fog company, me and my family went to this ice cream cafe for the first time as part of our Mother’s Day celebration, our kids are very excited, but unfortunately this guy (we went there at 1:45pm, May 12) at first we heard him already scolding the two ladies/staff who’s working with him, in front of customers which we find very unprofessional. But we just let it passed, when we’re taking a picture of the ice creams that we bought, he raised his voice to us and said “ don’t ever take pictures of me” we’re so shocked, because the ice cream we’re taking pictures of was so far from where he is that time, we mentioned we don’t do that, we’re just taking picture of the ice cream “ we ordered “ we said this with respect and even we’re really shocked with the behaviour his showing, knowing we have kids with us, I asked him if his okay, and we even notice that the two ladies were wearing blue gloves which is really good as part of hygienic process, but he was not wearing anything and he just told to us sarcastically out of nowhere, he said “ I washed my hands” we found this interaction very disturbing , unhygienic and his behaviour is very unprofessional, the way he treated , like we’re also Asian ourselves but they way he treated us and also his co workers can affect the image of this company, the ice cream taste so great and we love the ambience, but we just hope this guy will be train or give proper training for customer service and...
Read moreWent yesterday and was severely disappointed. From the looks of Instagram you get an experience but upon arrival we felt rushed to order and the staff wasn't good at offering suggestions or explanations of the choices. Saw a staff member blantantly roll their eyes as a child was struggling to make a decision for toppings. I had a stroller and was passed my two ice creams before I even made it to cash which resulted in an obvious struggle to try and maneuver my way to pay. I was then offered a stand to place my cone in but it had already started to melt at that point which was before we even got outside. There was no offer for a dish or napkins as I was visibly struggling.
It was a hot day which I understand is beyond anybody's control but the lack of umbrellas outside in their seating area resulted in our ice creams and cotton candy all turning into a melted mess before we had the chance to enjoy it. Essentially I paid 39$ for soup.. the mister moon donut was good it had filling inside that tasted just like the classic scoop of moon mist !
Overall it was just disappointing after looking at their socials I expected more from the customer service side of things.
Update: They have reached out and made amends to reconcile my experience and as a customer this made all the difference ❤️ I will be back to try again once the humidity leaves...
