1st review date: april 1, 2021 this was an accidental visit; bcuz vida la pita was closed at the time and BB was open. i have been to their westdale store and their competitor burrito boyz down the street, so i am familiar with the burrito concept.

so i noticed that these folks just opened up at this location 3 weeks ago.

overall the staff were busy but made an honest effort to handle current and backorders, the skip drivers and walk-in's.

the store itself, was very clean and fresh. with due time they can add some decorations, to add some character to the store.

i ordered a large steak-chicken burrito with all my desired fixin's and it was delicious. very clean, not like the typical garbage fast food offerings. it's a fair price for what you get. quality ingredients are used to make the final product.

2nd review date: december 11, 2021. the burrito bandidos (BB) @ 228 king west continue to do the wonderful things i described from the april 1st review.

i would like to thank helen and nick who were the store workers looking after my order. the chicken/steak with mango turned out fantastic from friday nite (dec 10th). they were closing in 5 minutes (close to midnight) when i arrived but were willing to accommodate me for a quick burrito order. greatly appreciated.🔥

prices can add up for the higher-end burritos with premium toppings, however in my experience you do get a fair sized portion with a lot of meat and excellent quality relative to what you are paying for. BB does have something for everyone's wallet and serving size needs.

additional signage and painting has been done inside the store to give it a more welcoming, polished look.👏 parking is available beside and around the store.

i like that ownership looks at and actually responds to google reviews. it shows that this location really is committed to doing their best and values the feedback, good and bad, that is given. no joke, most companies don't even bother to respond to reviews.

only suggestion i could say is for this location to figure out how to differentiate their address on google search, because the westdale location gets a disproportionate amount of attention when doing an internet search.

bottom line: i would support this store again if i am in the area and market for burrito food, and i would recommend this location...

Used to be my go to restaurant for Mexican takeout and now I’m absolutely disgusted after this final experience.

First of all, I don’t know if it’s the change of employees or the lack of customer service skills but I’ve never had such an unpleasant experience walking into a restaurant before.

Second of all, I have worked in food service for a few years and I know about food safety, these employees clearly don’t. Half the veggies are turning brown and are sitting in dirty containers that haven’t been changed. Guacamole is taken from a dirty container under the counter and is brown/black coloured. There is most likely mold and other things considering the containers don’t look to be changed and rotated properly. In general the food safety standards are horrible. No gloves, no hairnets, and no handwashing. Also the portions are significantly less even though paying for extra. I had a burrito bowl and I ate something that completely burned my mouth and throat. Even though I love spicy food this was next level. Considering I hadn’t ordered any hot sauce I was confused, but later found green chili peppers in my food which I did not want.

I placed an order recently and the food arrived with multiple red ants crawling all over my takeout containers which was absolutely disgusting. Not to mention again was served a tablespoon of black guacamole that we paid extra for. The fries were stale and it was easy to tell they got lazy and aren’t making fresh batches, simply just reusing old batches to avoid making more.

Overall I will not eat here again. It’s disappointing how downhill this...

I had the pleasure of dining at this Mexican restaurant yesterday evening, and it was an absolute delight. Notably, they provide halal options, and the quality of their meat, particularly the chicken, is simply exceptional.
