Really good South Chinese food. Fantastic . This place was recommended to me by a person from Hong Kong.
I don't know what's wrong with Hamilton but there's very few good Chinese restaurants and most of the Chinese restaurants in Hamilton are really bad, most of the restaurants in Hamilton are also not real Chinese food, it's Americanized. .
So far this place is the best. Because it's authentic Chinese food. I grew up with this food in Asia. If you want real authentic Chinese food come to this place, it's very nice. It's typical that Chinese restaurants that are authentic. You have to know what to order the dishes that you may know or want you have to tell the waitress and she will order it off menu. You will understand that this is how it works in Asia. You have to know what to order. If you order from the menu as well that is fine, What I ordered in the menu turned out to be amazing and original. Some of the dishes in the menu might not translate well to what I wanted, therefore, in places like this you have to tell them exactly what you want if you know a specific dish. . The fried rice is very nice and authentic. The best one in Hamilton. I will definitely be coming back and ordering more. I wish I knew of this...
Read moreThe food is okay and relatively fast, but it's expensive and the service is abysmal. It's essentially a self serve place where you get your own dishes and takeout containers from the side because the tables are barren. There are usually one or two wait/counter staff, and the place is beyond crowded (they can probably seat no more than 20 small to average sized people with no space to walk between tables), and the waiting area for takeout is cramped and blocks the doorway if you have more than one very small person. The bathroom floors are slicked with grease and slippery, and it's obvious their dual function is a storage closet.
Once your food arrives, you have to flag someone down to get anything else, even tea refills, and we've received our orders incorrectly. Even if you're waiting to pay, they treat you like you don't exist. I've visited four times and if anything, each experience worsens my review of the place. People seem to go there for the convenience rather than the quality or experience. If you have the option to go to a better place, probably a ways out of town, the extra mileage will be worth it to have someone acknowledge you and more importantly, respect you as a customer supporting...
Read moreOn a Lunar New Year we ordered from this restaurant via Uber Eats app as it mentioned the pick-up would be 10-20 minutes. Once the app let us know it was ready for pick up, to our surprise, there was a line up out the door. It was then clear to me the order was not ready.
I waited approximately an additional 1 hour to the initial 20 min wait time, outside in the cold, along with many other patrons. I understand that it was a very busy night but expectations of this was not set on the app or in person. The front house service had very little communication to the point where they were ignoring customers inquiring about timing and also just unable to give ETAs at all.
Waiting that long is acceptable as long as expectations are set. I suggest updating the settings on Uber eats to be more accurate as well as letting patrons know who are standing outside in the cold how long they should expect orders to be done to make informed decisions on...
