I had the worst experience I've ever had with a fast food order today.
The staff was very friendly, unfortunately this is the only kind thing I have to say about today's experience.
My partner had asked a question about a food intolerance I have and, upon being given the answer, he did specify it was regarding a pretty severe food intolerance - this is important for my review.
I witnessed the following unacceptable things:
During this experience, the employee also ripped a pita - which she quickly changed out, and the thought in my head at that moment was that out of everything I saw, that's what she was concerned about?!
There were a total of four employees visible during our transaction, and only one of them did not directly handle our food (the employee bagging orders), she was also the most friendly one and the one who didn't have a part in any of the negative aspects of my review.
I know a fair number of people who work in the food service industry (I used to myself), and the things I witnessed are definitely not standard practice and are NOT acceptable at all. I've had this specific intolerance for a good many years now, and usually, when it is brought up, care is taken not to cause cross-contamination if possible.
I've taken medication to attempt to eat my pita, and hopefully, I won't get sick from eating what's supposed to be my dinner.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I will not be going back to this location, and I will not recommend this location to anyone I know either.
EDITED TO ADD: There was a comment placed by management, two weeks after I shared my review, asking for me to please contact them as this was not acceptable or their standard and saying they wanted to make this right. Before I could do that, the comment was removed. So my review is not being updated with good news and...
Read moreOrdered through UberEats and SO thankful I always check our food fiest, cuz if not this order could've killed me.
To be clear, I have a lethal allergy to onion, my daughter is allergic to eggs & anchovies. So when I ordered our salads I was VERY clear in the memos, no onions contact, dressings separated and labeled. Well....... both salads were caked in ranch dressing and not labeled, while there was Cesar dressing on the side. Ok, health issue one, cuz we had no idea what dressing was on it and literally had to try it to see, and risk an anaphylaxis reaction. Then, i see something moving in the salads and there literal gnats (or something) crawling all through it. Health issue number 2. Health issue #3 came when my son went to eat his pita and despite it being NO DAIRY, it's god cheese throughout it. Health issue #4. Clearly whoever worked yesterday evening can't be bothered to read memos or follow directions. You're damn lucky I checked it all first.
Then on top of this, I'm now l arguing with Uber to get a refund cuz out of 2 wraps and 2 salads none of it was made properly and the one wrap that could've been eaten by the younger child (no allwrgies) wasn't allowed to be eaten cuz there's bugs in half the food and I wasn't about to risk...
Read moreOverall a great store. Been going to Pita Pit for several years. Just recently I've had a bad experience. I called the store & spoke to the manager, explained what happened the night before. He remembered who I was (cause the boyfriend & I have been going to this particular place on a weekly basis) The manager offered to replace a full meal to my boyfriend & I & offered to deliver it to us. We will personally go into the store & get this as we like to sit in the store & enjoy our pitas. Then asked what could be done to make our experience better. The main thing is don't take on too many orders at one time cause the staff get overwhelmed & start rushing, being sloppy & very frustrated/flustered... they "rush" & then all hell breaks loose. I hope they take my advice & follow through with it or I'll wait until the "Rush" is over & go...
