Fast service, sub-par food, not open to any substitutions.
Fast turn-around time, despite it being quite busy. My husband and I used to go here when we wanted to have breakfast out but didn't have a lot of time. The food has gone a bit downhill lately, (the last few visits were sub-par) I also find they are sticklers with a few ridiculous things. They have specific menu items that are marked as "no substitutions" which is totally fine. I tried to order one of their pre-made veggie omelettes a few weeks ago. I wanted to switch tomato for mushroom but the waitress wouldn't let me. That one is not marked "no substitutions" so I wasn't sure why I couldn't. She told me I would have to order a make your own omelette. A make your own omelette with the same amount of veggies as the pre-made veggie omelette is over $3.00 more! The place wasn't busy, and I wasn't asking for something that cost more money, so I wasn't sure why they couldn't swap one small thing for another. She seemed kind of rude about it which kind of ticked me off as I used to go here almost every Sunday.
They also used to let me substitute regular bacon with turkey bacon and I would just pay $2.00 more to offset the cost. Now they won't let you do that. They just tell you to order an entire side of turkey bacon, which is $6.99 for 3 pieces!! I'm not usually too picky with breakfast, but I there are so many other mom and pop type places you can go that will be a little more relaxed on small...
Read moreThe food was great. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the swarm of wasps. The staff left the door open for what I’m guessing was all day (even though there’s central air conditioning) and because of this, the place was literally full of wasps. It was like eating in a wasp nest. After this photo was taken, about 30 more landed in that corner. I am not even exaggerating when I say there were probably 40-50 wasps on that window alone. Remember that food that I said was great at the beginning of this review? We couldn’t finish it because as soon as we poured syrup out, our table was swarmed by aggressive wasps. At that point we just walked away and proceeded to pay. We mentioned the wasps to the staff at the counter and how we had to leave the table and all she said was “sorry about that”. Didn’t comp a thing, no discounts, nothing other than “sorry”. Not a huge fan of leaving negative reviews but when you have to leave your food uneaten at your table it’s a little frustrating. In the end, we paid $50 for unfinished food....
Read moreMy brother and I have been here many times for their all-day breakfast.
We ordered 3 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, and chunks of potatoes. I had 2 slices of whole wheat bread, and my brother had 2 slices of rye bread. It came with a small package of strawberry, raspberry, and grape jam. The food was served hot. We enjoyed our meals.
The waitress was very nice and helpful. My brother ordered coffee, and he said it was very good.. Our waitress would ask if he wants more coffee to fill up or touch up his coffee cup. I ordered orange juice, and it was good.
They do have washrooms with Wheelchair Accessible Entrances, They do their best to keep them clean.
They also have free parking at the front of the restaurant. They do share the parking lot with other stores, restaurants, etc, in Barton Center.
We paid the waitress casĥ and the food bill. We can also pay debit and credit.
I noticed they're people come in on their own and sit down and...
