Freshslice Pizza — Restaurant in Hamilton

Update to my review below (after 2 days): After (much) back & forth with DD & FS Head Office to have things rectified, Fresh Slice came through today and made things right. The gentleman at the store location today was very amicable and apologetic for how things transpired.

I will go back (definitely not get delivery), and try their pizza on another occasion.

Received pizza not made to simple specifications and it was ice cold because they use useless 3rd party delivery service. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he admitted he made the pizza and then called the delivery service for pick up (leaving it to cool while waiting) It’s been over 1.5 hrs since they said they’d call me back in 5 minutes with a solution because we couldn’t reach one over the phone.

Delivery instructions for driver: Meet at door. He didn’t even come up the 4 steps of my porch. I saw him pull up, got out of his car, walk up the walk way and stood at the stairs waiting for me to come out. If pizza had been put in a thermal bag and didn’t sit in an air conditioned car for the 15 minute drive, it wouldn’t have arrived ice cold. Door Dash drivers have always been like this and they’re the reason why I stopped using them.

Terrible first experience with Fresh Slice. Had there been any indication that they use DD, I wouldn’t have ordered from...

I came in for the first time today via Too Good to Go. Given the nature of TGT, modifications are not expected to be accommodated but I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating Rushi was in not only offering to modify the surprise bag I inquired about but suggested another option of much better value! Even with that, he made modifications based on my dietary needs. I also appreciated how knowledgeable he is about the ingredients especially in relation to the franchise brand itself.

I left not even a minute ago and have not had my pizza yet as I am writing this in my car, but I am sure it is delicious as it looked it! Rushi offered to warm it up for me, when that is also not really required from TGT.

But I definitely want to appreciate Rushi for the experience he provided me in such a short amount of time. His cheerful, polite, kind, and helpful disposition really made my day. Even when there was a customer that was being unnecessarily condescending and disrespectful to him, Rushi still maintained his demeanour and was professional.

All in all, this was such a refreshing experience, and I will definitely be returning! Rushi’s service is not common within most establishments, especially fast food moreover pizza...

Update after response by Freshslice and your generic reply: The more I think about it I was being extremely generous giving the pizza two stars. I only did that because the owners seemed nice and I only want to see success for them. I honestly have never had a worse pizza in Hamilton. Or anywhere really. To be worse than Papa John's, Little Caesars, or any frozen pizza I've ever had is no easy task. If you seriously want to fix this you have to start over again. Ovens, dough, sauce, cheese - It all has to be replaced. IMO. However I see that there are some positive reviews so perhaps some people like what you're doing.

Original review: An honest review of Freshslice Pizza. It's not good pizza. Conveyor pizza ovens never come close to any other style oven. But it's more than that. It's the recipe. Nothing is very good. Not the dough, sauce, cheese, or many of the ingredients. It's just very cheap pizza. Sorry.
