From the moment I stepped into this restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. The ambience perfectly blends modern elegance with subtle Indian charm—dimmed golden lights, soothing background music, and décor that whispers luxury without being overwhelming.
The service was nothing short of impeccable. Every staff member was attentive yet never intrusive, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and knowledge of the dishes. Their recommendations were spot-on, making the experience feel curated just for us.
Now, the food—simply extraordinary. Each dish felt like a celebration of Indian flavors elevated to fine-dining artistry. The spices were perfectly balanced, letting every ingredient shine. From the melt-in-your-mouth kebabs to the delicately layered biryani, every bite carried depth, richness, and soul. The presentation was equally stunning—plates arrived like pieces of art, making it clear that as much care went into the visuals as the flavors.
The highlight for me was the [signature dish/dessert you want to highlight]—a perfect balance of tradition and innovation that left a lasting impression. Paired with their handcrafted cocktails and carefully chosen wine list, the entire meal was a harmonious journey.
This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an experience—where every detail, from the warm welcome to the final sip of chai, makes you feel special. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply want to indulge in world-class Indian cuisine, this is the place to be.
Highly recommended, and without doubt, I’ll be...
Read moreWhat a gem! We had the pleasure of dining at Tamasha Indian Restaurant, a new place on James Street North in Hamilton last night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The creative decor immediately sets the tone—it’s vibrant, modern and designed to immerse you in a fun, Bollywood-inspired vibe. Tamasha isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of contemporary Indian culture, with music, bold flavours, original presentation and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to stay for a while, letting the business of the week fade away. I started with an Empress gin cocktail that was as beautiful as it was refreshing!
On the advice of the owner, who personally welcomed us, we tried the Aloo Tikki Chaat, Dal Tadka, and Mutton Rogan Josh, paired with fluffy rice and naan—and every bite was bursting with flavour. The Mutton Rogan Josh was rich and aromatic, the Dal had a comforting feel and taste , and the Aloo Tikki Chaat was the perfect crispy, tangy start to the meal (I’d go back for that starter alone, but we saw so many other attractively presented apps being shared by other diners that we resolved to try something different when we returned).
Tamasha is bringing something truly special to Hamilton, combining modern Indian cuisine with a vibrant ambiance that’s both stylish and friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu....
Read moreI visited Tamasha Hamilton with high hopes, expecting quality service and food for the prices they charge. Unfortunately, this turned out to be my first and last visit.
The first red flag came with the drinks. My whisky was served in a basic water glass, filled with a bunch of tiny ice pellets and topped with club soda — the exact same type of glass my water was served in. For a place that charges premium prices, I expect proper presentation and attention to detail, not bar shortcuts that completely ruin the drink.
We ordered one appetizer, which came out sour and unappetizing. When I mentioned it to the server, their response was, “I can change it, but it will be similar in taste.” That basically told me replacing it wouldn’t fix the problem. I asked them to just take it back instead, which they did, and they removed it from the bill — but by that point, the experience was already soured.
We left without ordering anything else and went to a different restaurant to actually enjoy our meal. Between the poor drink presentation, disappointing food, and indifferent service, Tamasha Hamilton is overpriced for what they deliver. Not worth the money...
