Service was sub par. The waiter i had was nice, but took forever to take my order, and never came to check on me after that except to drop off the food. The table beside me looked visibly annoyed that they had to wait for so long to get the bill. I don't usually expect much in terms of service at asian restaurants, good food is enough to keep their business strong. Unfortunately i didn't get that tonight either. Maybe i came on an off-night (according to all the positive reviews). I ordered the sweet spicy fried chicken and their signature bulgogi plate. The beef bulgogi was mixed in with stir fried veggies so at first i was disappointed that maybe they shafted me on meat for filler instead. But after a few bites, it was clear the veggies were better tasting than the beef. The beef just didn't have any depth or flavor, but was overly salty. Almost like they marinated it in only soysauce or salt brine. I actually didn't finish the beef because it was so salty and shallow. Couldn't taste the 'korean' in it. The korean fried chicken was ok, but not what I was expecting. I was thinking more crispy like WOWChicken or YUMYUMChicken, but these looked and felt like food court chinese or buffet sweet and sour pork/chicken cubes. They were not crispy, but tasted alright though, more sweet than spicy.
In the 10 min i spent writing this review and still no check-in from the waiter. The restaurant went from about 80% full when I arrived to around 20% full now. All in all i cant give this restaurant a good review or recommend it to any of my friends after tonight. Not sure if i'll even come back to give them a second chance. Again, maybe it was an off night for them for food. Upon leaving the restaurant, i did notice a sign for hiring serving staff, so maybe the waiters are new /...
Read moreI visited your restaurant on 9/29/2025, at 7:00 PM with my partner for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience this time was extremely disappointing due to the behavior of the server on duty, which ultimately led us to leave without dining.
When we arrived, despite the restaurant closing at 8:30 PM and several empty tables visible, the server simply stated, “we’re full,” without offering any information about the wait time or whether we could be accommodated. We returned about five minutes later and noticed even more empty tables. The server then led us to a table but left us standing awkwardly beside it without any direction. After waiting for a minute or two, we seated ourselves.
A few minutes later, without a polite request or any courtesy, the server pointed to a sign near the entrance and remarked, “Next time you can wait near the board like it says, so I can clean,” which felt unnecessary and confusing. He then proceeded to spray the table in a very discourteous manner—right in front of me and my pregnant partner—without any consideration for our comfort. Even the menus were left carelessly at the edge of the table without a word, as if they were not intended for us.
What made this experience especially disappointing is that we had visited your restaurant just two days earlier, on 9/27, and had a fantastic meal paired with excellent service. That positive experience was the reason we chose to return so soon.
Regrettably, we left feeling that this would be...
Read moreOkay, listen up, if you find yourself in Kamloops and even think about Korean BBQ, you HAVE to hit up this place. I don't even know the name of the spot (I'm terrible with names!), but there's this young guy running the show, and honestly, he made the whole experience next-level amazing.
From the second we walked in, he was on it. Super friendly, always checking in without being annoying, and just genuinely seemed to care that everyone was having a good time. You could tell he put his heart into the place.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the BBQ short ribs. Oh. My. Goodness. They were absolutely on point. Marinated perfectly, tender as anything, and that smoky, grilled flavour? Forget about it. Seriously, I could have eaten plate after plate. Every bite was just pure deliciousness.
The sides were great too, all those little dishes you get with Korean BBQ – the kimchi was spicy and tangy, the pickled radish was crisp and refreshing. But those short ribs... man, they're what I'll be dreaming about.
Honestly, the attentiveness of that young guy running things, combined with those incredible short ribs, made this a five-star experience for me. Find this place in Kamloops – you...
