Tang Court Restaurant — Restaurant in Kamloops

So the reviews for this place are pretty divisive and I think that has to do with 2 things: 1) the day/time you go and 2) your expectations for the quality of Chinese food.

I came with a few people on a weekend during peak dinner hour and the restaurant was full of people. So the food was fresh and refilled frequently and there was a large variety. I imagine if you came during low peak times the food likely will be sitting out for longer and not replaced as often.

The Chinese food served here is westernized Chinese food (i.e. sweet and sour pork, sesame chicken, etc.), the type you're to find at those "two items + rice" places in mall food courts. That's the quality standard I expected of this place so I was not disappointed. For the type of Chinese food served, it was good.

One complaint I have is the ice cream bar. The ice cream is in giant containers that people can scoop themselves but people often don't use different scoops for different flavors so a lot of the ice cream containers have other ice...

This restaurant is exceptionally terrible. If I could leave less than a 1 star I would. Both food and service were terrible.

The food is either rock hard or suspiciously mushy and nothing came off the buffet hot - luke warm at best. My wife’s first few bites turned her off the meal altogether that we asked to remove her plate from the bill. I managed to finish only half a plate. The only thing I enjoyed was the ice-cream (most appealing item out of 3 or 4 options). Certainly not worth anywhere near the $18/plate.

The service was non-existent. We saw our server when we were sat, and when we paid the bill (we sat for 10 minutes before I flagged a bus boy who told us we needed to go to the front to ask for the bill). It’s laughable that the debit machine has an option for a...

I ordered from them off skip the dishs around 830pm and they closed at 9pm and everything i received was wrong. I assume because they were closing soon after i ordered they didn't feel like making exactly what i paid for. The meal i received was no where near what i order and was a way less expensive item on the menu. I tried to call immediately after i received my ordered (903pm) several times with no answer. Absolutely terrible service, wrong food and i was hardly able to finish my meal as it was clearly a mix of left overs that had just been thrown in a microwave. If you cant complete my order properly in time before you close do not accept my payment....
