Bean Scene Pandosy Village — Restaurant in Kelowna

I used to go to the Bean Scene downtown all the time until they moved to their new larger location which had none of the charm. Luckily the Pandosy location has what the new downtown location is lacking, and I come here all the time now instead. It's a great place to read or work on your laptop. The coffee is good and the service is fast and friendly. The artwork on the walls is usually appealing and they rotate it frequently. I'm a fan of their baked cookies but not so much their other food. That's personal preference though. Prices are a little on the expensive side but I only drink coffee and iced tea in the summer so I can't comment too much on them. I just got into town, and this place is a stop i always try and make. Ever since it was downtown Bernard. Always great treats. Always consistent amazing coffee. Always friendly, bubbly staff. Today I had to go outside to wait for my drink, as it was so hot in there. The girls were all visibly sweating and I made a comment about how muggy it was in there and asked why they dont have any fans... Noone really had an answer. I came in for a double espresso and was served what appeared to be about a teaspoons worth of coffee. By the time I swirled the cup , all of the contents coated the walls of the cup leaving nothing at all to drink. I asked if they could make it again, then they proceeded to explain by saying it's a ristretto shot ( which I am completely familiar with, being born in Italy, raised In cafe's and working in the coffee industry ) And wanted to charge me an additional cost if I wanted more to make it a "quad".
