YLW Tacos — Restaurant in Kelowna

This is the spot for the most delicious tacos and simply the most amazing burritos. I first tried the fish tacos and my mate tried the Chorizo tacos. Both were next level and then more... the taco shells were yummy made fresh, the fish had avocado with yummy sauce... so fresh and so healthy.

Since that first experience, we have tacos or burritos for our take home dinner at least every other week. We are frugal and choose to spend our precious take-out $$ here. Sometimes I've had to wait, but really, what is the fuss? If we could all take a step back and stop looking for instant gratification, wouldn't that be better for us all? Take a breath, relax, and know that soon in the comfort of your home, you will have a great meal, one that's been locally sourced and made with passion. Yes, they're busy because the food is great and delicious and wholesome food takes time.

I’ve seen the YLW Taco food truck on several visits to Kelowna and kept saying “I gotta check this place out” and today I finally did and it was an instant “why did I wait so long?!” moment! Talking with the staff, they apparently make everything in-house (except the sour cream I was told haha) and the quality of the food and the flavours and the freshness all stand out as soon as you take the first bite!

I ordered 3 tacos, 2 spicy chorizo and 1 pork belly, and they were delicious! They were also some of the largest tacos I’ve had lately - some places serve ridiculously small tacos that you’d have to eat 8-10 to feel satisfied. These 2 tacos were more than enough to fill me up and hit the spot! These fresh toppings and the amazing house-made salsas added to the overall incredible taste of the tacos! I’ll definitely be back when I come to Kelowna again and I highly recommend you seek...

Officially takes the spot for “Best Tacos I’ve ever had above the 49th parallel”! Friends have been telling me to go here for months and I’m only sad it took me so long. If subway calls their employees artists, then Desmond and Christian are the Leonardo da Vinci’s of tacos! And Adria’s warm smile and welcoming demeanour is the icing on this cupcake! They take hand crafted corn tortillas that are expertly topped with incredibly fresh ingredients and offer them with their house made, flavourfully packed, hot sauces and serve them with a smile. On top of this it’s a convenient location AND you can text to order if you’re having a busy day but NEED tacos that will do nothing less than thrust you into an amazing day!
