PrimeTime Donair & Poutine — Restaurant in Lake District

I’m a huge fan of Primetime Donair and have frequented their Northgate food court location many times—always a great experience! The jumbo donair Primetime style is consistently delicious, packed with meat and fresh veggies, and served in a timely manner. That’s why I was so disappointed with the Eau Claire location.

This visit was a completely different experience. The service was incredibly slow—I waited 25 minutes for a donair, which is unacceptable for fast food. The store seemed severely understaffed, likely a result of management cutting hours to maximize profits. Sadly, this kind of cost-cutting is becoming all too common.

The donair itself was a letdown. The dome meat tasted rubbery, the veggies didn’t seem fresh, and the overall quality was far below what I’ve come to expect from Primetime. While I understand their style of pan-frying the meat for flavor, the result here didn’t justify the wait or the price.

Even worse, after voicing my concerns, there was no offer to remake the donair or even apologize. My wife and I essentially paid $33 for a frustrating experience and disappointing food.

ALL TIME FAVOURITE donair place!! Delicious raps and poutine that is out of this world. Never had anything like it elsewhere. Not only do you get to choose a custom veggie sauté, you can add custom fresh veggies on top, which makes it refreshing. AMAZING FLAVOURS and you choose BOTH a unique PrimeTime flavour and sauce(s); and they are perfectly generous with it! Deliciously fresh as the meat and veg are fried right there upon ordering. And very reasonable wait times for this. Communication is excellent as they always update you on time, and very inviting atmosphere with comfy seats. It is clean and NOT greasy on the walls and floor. You can see into the line that they are using clean gloves and everything is sanitary. FABULOUS customer service!! Very very sweet worker. My third time visiting and one of the girls already had my saute combo memorized! Highly recommend Prime Time...

Absolutely terrible. Came at 9 pm to get a Donair poutine, the lady behind the cash register took my order and the other guy was cleaning the washroom. She puts the Donair on the stove and forgets about it as she takes another order. My Donair meat is burnt as hell at this point and I'm livid because I've now been here for 15 mins. I'm watching her as she returns to the burnt Donair and she's trying to pick out the "non burnt" ones. After 25 mins waiting, it's now 930 pm, I get my Donair poutine and I ask the guy who just remade it if it's burnt. He assures me it's not and shows me.. But I can't see it because of the sauce. Anyways I get home and it's so burnt. The meat is gross as it's charcoal. I just spent 30 mins and 16 dollars on a burnt Donair poutine.
