I went yesterday with my family my mom asked for a combo and my aunty asked for the same, egg rolls were included in those combos at one point both of them tasted the egg rolls and after they were telling me that it tasted bad, I tried a bite, and omg, it tested rotten like the stuffing went bad, I called the waitress and told about it and asked her to taste the egg roll, just to prove that we are not laying, but she refused, she offered to bring more but we said no, because it tested so bad. That is not it, my aunt at the end of the meal asked for a cup of tea and they said the kitchen was close, it was not even 3 pm. Ok fine, we decided to pay and go so I asked for a discount on my mom's dish due to the rotten egg roll, and the only took one dollar of from the bill, so whatever, I payed the bill and asked for a doggy bag, because my son did not finished his meal. When I came home I took the leftovers to put them on a tapper and to my surprise they just put the meat and noodles, so where are the rests of the dish (vegetables and salad) ????. They don't even deserve a star. On top of all that the women's washroom is so dirty and disgusting, overall the toilet bowl, I almost trough up...
Read moreThe good: good service. The bad, this isn’t real Viet restau. There is no food love here. 1-the rouleau is pure poison, it’s 200% bathed in cooking oil, the rice wrap is covered in panko, there is no great filling. It’s really bad. 2-The chicken soup is a collection of faded taste, the chicken is not over cook but boring. Lightly grill, it’s lean, a good viet resto uses high thighs which is much cheaper and tastier. 3-The soup broth is just water, no fat, no taste, no seasoning, nada, maybe one small light taste of lemongrass, the noodles are over cooked and break apart, the brocoli is fresh but the carrots are frozen. This is late August, you should be shoving basil, cardamon, ginger in that broth. That broth should be homemade. At you honestly mentioned this was not a pho restaurant and that’s honest but it sure wasn’t a viet chicken soup either. I’m being nice here because I think these patrons can change their ways. This is montreal for gods sake, let’s have good basic seasoned prepped food here. 3 stars...
Read moreI have no idea why this place has such good reviews. People either have very bland taste preferences, or they've just never left Laval for actually good Viet food. I had a lunch combo and it was just so disappointingly mediocre. The appetizer soup was alright, nice touch with the mushrooms and spinach. But why put the same type of noodles in both the soup and the main dish? Why not have rice instead of noodles for the latter?
For the main dish I had a simple chicken skewer combo. The spring roll was alright. The noodles were terrible. Bland, sticky, literally zero sauce or flavouring or anything. The salad was alright, but again not enough dressing/flavour. The chicken wasn't the dryest I ever had, but it wasn't great either. Again, just way too little sauce/flavour/umami. Just bland bland bland all around. It was all several dollars more expensive than you'd...
