I will start off by saying that the food is delicious. Tasty and full of flavour. My issue is the customer service and for this reason I don’t think I will be returning to this location. It’s my 3rd time at this location and the last two times have left me feeling very uneasy. Our waitress (brunette, about 5’5) always seems to be in rush. Back in December, before we even got our dessert, a friend wanted to order coffee, she proceeded to tell us -an hour before closing that the coffee machine had already been cleaned and it wasn’t possible to have coffee. We were taken aback. How can you possibly tell your clients, who haven’t even had dessert that the machine was closed? She then proceeded to “open it” because we ended up telling her that we wanted a coffee and her argument didn’t make any sense.

Tonight a similar situation happened. She didn’t ask us for coffee yet rushed us, we were eating dessert and she came to the table to ask us if we were done with it… my friend was chewing. We took the tasting menu, while I specifically said mild, many dishes were spicy. She didn’t ask us if we wanted any choices in particular. She just brought what she felt like brining. We felt completely rushed. Our reservation was at 8:30, it took 20 min to get drinks. By the previous comments it seems like this is an ongoing issue with this location that clients are rushed out because they want to close early or close at exactly closing time. At 11:00 pm on the dot, all the lights were opened brightly as if we were in a cafeteria. There were still about 20 people in the restaurant. I came with a friend, on a Thursday evening almost 7pm. We asked for a booth and were told no because there was reservations but the place was empty. We were served very slowly, never checked to see how we were doing. I ordered the ceviche which was 17$, what I got wasn’t anything close to ceviche, I got 5 small shrimp in a tomato soup sauce with cubed avocado. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. The fish tacos were good but small, when I flagged the waitress to place another round order for tacos, we felt judged that we were ordering more food. Also our first round of tacos came 4 tacos in a tray with two small quartered sliced lime, barely enough to serve 4 tacos but we didn’t complain, our second round of 4 tacos they served us 1 tiny slices quartered lime, this time we asked if we could have more lime, is there a shortage that I don’t know about? We are paying for the food, why hold back on the lime?! Service was not there to say the least, I still tipped but shouldn’t have. We left at 8 and that table that they refused us to have because of a so called reservation, well guess what they never showed up, so they most likely lied to us, we could have put that spot to use, especially that we ordered two rounds and entree. We went last night. Really wanted to fall in love with this place! What can I say!? Great little spot when it comes to decor, ambiance and service. Was just not impressed by the food at all! Tasted the nachos, corn salad and el chapo. All meh! El chapo was ok, but we are also talking about THE most inauthentic thing on the menu! And 10$ for 5 tiny pieces of chicken? I don't know. Tasted the el pastor and camarones tacos... Very bland! Don't recommend the shrimp tacos at all (FYI I live for seafood)! Pork was well cooked, but put a little crema? Some fresh toppings? Was so boring! Also tasted the ribs; very average! I have traveled all over the world, so maybe my taste buds are a little more developed lol, but I really do feel that the food should / could be better!! Would love to say that I would go back, but sadly it isn't the case. I'll go back for drinks though and I'll give the food another shot in the very far future!
