Edit: After posting the review, the Manager finally reached out and offered to refund me back the extra charge. Although, it shouldn't take this much effort to fix their mistake, I nonetheless appreciate that a resolution was reached in the end.

Food: We ordered all tapas. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was quite poor. The clams were not cleaned properly and each bite was full of sand and broken pieces of shell, it was very unpleasant to eat. The Bo la lot (which also happens to be the most expensive item in the brochettes/skewers section) resembled the driest meat balls with a powdery textile. The mussels was the only dish that tasted good. But since the seafood was not cleaned properly, we all had diarrhea when we got home. The cocktails were on the sweeter side, though that is a personal preference.

Service: We came in as a family for dinner and they were able to accommodate our toddler and infant. Like the other reviews have mentioned, service is very slow even though there were 3 servers at this small establishment that night. The service was disorganized and it was really hard to get the attention of anyone. The food took almost 45min to come out, not ideal when you have a hungry toddler. They then charged us for an order of soft-shell crab that we never received. Mistakes happen, so that's no big deal. We called them an hour after we left to give them a chance to fix the mistake and they promise to have the manager to call us back. No one called. I was never able to get to the Manager after calling multiple times over a week. I am informed that the Manager is seldom there but he is aware of the situation and he doesn't have time to fix it.

Please note that charging someone without providing the good or service is considered fraud. I can not recommend a restaurant that believe this is ok. I really hate posting negative reviews so I waited a week before posting, giving them plenty of time to rectify...

This was my second time trying this place. On a previous visit, I was with several friends and we shared a bunch of food items, namely their dumplings (which had a filling of shrimps and pork), papaya/jerky beef salad, mango salad, spring rolls, and fried quail egg skewers.

This time I went eating alone and I tried: their chicken wings, beef skewers, soft-shell crab (with tamarind sauce) as well as a bowl of grilled pork /imperial rolls (all dishes which pics are attached to my current review).

They seem to pay attention to details that evade most of their peers - as an example, I did appreciate that they serve the Vietnamese Saigon beer as I am a fan of most Vietnamese beers. I am not quite sure about this, but I think that it is not easy to find that beer at most Vietnamese restaurants in Laval, which is the city where this restaurant is situated.

Bottom line: a fine contemporary Vietnamese restaurant with every single food item cooked to order, served in timely manner, the food delicious, the cooking technically competent (exquisite seasonings, balanced when and where need be, a bit of gentle heat when it is required as an additional layer to the enjoyment of the food, textures nicely rendered, etc), the condiments first-rate, flavours were genuine. Service was efficient, Pro and friendly. If they continue on that path, the local foodie scene in Laval will have no other choice but to add them to their go-to list. Time will tell, but for now, this restaurant gets the job done,...

I leave this reviews so the establishment can learn and improve, not to bash it. Make sure the person serving you repeats your order after, we had a bad experience, on our wedding anniversary, we left there with a 100$ bill, unfulfilled and very disappointed. We had 2 waiters, a young cocaisian male and a young asian female, it was during the weekdays, the place had 3 others tables with clients, 2 were already served their orders and 1 waiting. I gave the waitress our initial order, 1 cocktail, 2 entrée, 2 main dish ( guestured to her 2 with my fingers and sayingit as well). The Male witer gave us all of our orders except 1 of the main dishes, I ate the main dishe received thinking my wife would receive hers shortly after, but no. 20 minutes later we ask the male waiter about the missing dish, he seemed confused, I think he thought we were asking about the dish I already received. We had to order more entrée since my wife was getting reasonably hungry. We found out that the waitress did place our order properly, go figure. We left unhappy, apologies were given but no compensation were offered, my wife gave them a tip which I was against. Needless to say, we will NOT BE coming back or recommended this place to friends and family. I hope this helps them provide better...
