McDonald's — Restaurant in Maple Ridge

Sunday August 31 ,2025 at 4:05 pm my wife called the 22780 Lougheed hwy Maple Ridge McDonald’s store and asked how to place an order for 20 cheese burger meals to be picked up.we had tried to order with the McDonald app but it wouldn’t allow us to do so because of our location being to far away from the store. The store manager would not take the order over the phone. When we offered to pay up front for the order the manager said he couldn’t do it. My wife had broken her foot that very morning and she was not able to go get the order and she had a family member coming to pick it up. The manager was rude to my wife and when asked his name he refused to say his name. Then he hung up on my wife while she was still asking questions about how she would be able to get this order completed. I then called the store back and talked to the same manager about the situation and he lied to me about what had happened and accused my wife of being rude to him. I told him I was standing beside my wife and heard the phone conversation as her phone was on speaker. We also happened to have a baby camera on in our house that had inadvertently recorded the phone conversation and the manager hanging up on my wife while. I asked the manager if I could get a contact person to call that could deal with this issue and he said no. He said it is a corporate store. I asked him what the reason for hanging up on my wife . He said he was busy and that why he hung up. I asked him why he didn’t at least say good bye ,that would have been polite. I have never once wrote a negative review of any establishment or business. That I can prove by the history of my reviews. I believe that it is warranted in this case because of the way this manager conducted himself. If this is a reflection of the way he runs the store ,then NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. I Will not be going to this particular...

Been a handful of times in the evening after 7 pm with our two kids for a late night dinner and play at the play place. We have found drugs here at first thought it was a one off but it has now happened enough that this is disgusting!

The play area looks disgusting and is not clean, the kids there working are just that KIDS! They should not be responsible for cleaning up drugs! And when we go to use the washroom with our little kids we should not be finding cocaine and baking Soda on the toilet paper dispenser (which apparently is used to make crack!!) disgusting!

When there was a line up of ten people waiting to order and we are watching kids play pass with a bag of frozen chicken nuggets in the back this tells me there is no one responsible working here! It shouldn’t take 20 min for two happy meals and then to find the drugs in the washroom and mess in the seating area. Ugh sort it out!

This is a place for children to go and children to work, if you can’t keep it clean and safe then you should shut it down!!!! Horrified that there is not a responsible adult on the evening shift here! Where is the manager!! Who is doing regular washroom checks? Does anyone even wipe the tables down ever?? Yuck! Health code violation much!

Please note we are in no way blaming the kids that work there, where is upper management and who’s genius idea is it to leave a handful of kids to run a night shift. And this is the norm there anytime we’ve been in the evening so it’s not like a one time manager couldn’t work thing. Plus as a parent I would NEVER let my kid work at this McDonalds, be aware parents there are drugs here that your children are left to clean up...

I used to work at this location back in 1990-1992 and Paul rose was the owner of this one and mission and Pitt meadows. ( if the service was ever this bad when he owned it you would have been reprimanded and or fired! It’s really sad and disappointing when I have gone into this location A few times and have had missing food but not noticing until I get home. Fast forward to Today July 6 2022 And I placed an order ( 2 10 piece chicken nugget meals for my kids and blt QP combo which came to $37.20😳😳😳) only to be asked to wait for my food ok np but to get all the way home and missing 1 of your kids 10 pack of nuggets...... then I call to complain to what they consider management only to get hung up because I was raising my voice. Well I can tell you yes I raised my voice however I never once used profanity or belittle her only to get hung up??? Then I tried to call back 10 times (and I can screen shot my phone) and no one answers and when someone does answer you can hear her say it’s her calling back and get hung up again. So I drove back apparently different manager assisted me She was pleasant gave me 10 pack of nuggets and replaced my fries as they others at home would be cold. However I inquired when the main manager will be in she informed me of her name and when, I will be returning this Friday to speak and make a formal complaint on this first manager I had to worst experience I have ever...
