UPDATE!!!!
What is wrong the management at this location? I come here every now and then overnight as it is the only location overnight in the area. The same manager is working tonight that has not only screwed up my order in the past, and not only has raised her voice at me in the past, is still working here. Juvelyn is her name as I got that name off her name tag previously. She messed up my order again tonight and she's still yelling in the restaurant. I'm not the only person complaining about her as I have noticed in previous complaints that she is a terrible manager (she is being referred as the yelling manager as that's what she's best at, yelling at everyone). How is she still working at this location? She's terrible. I've asked her in the past that I would like to speak to the manager. She indicated that she was the manager. When I asked if she was the restaurant manager, she said that would be some guy named Johnny (I believe that was his name). When I asked to speak to him, she stepped away somewhere and came back few minutes later telling me he was too busy to talk to me and that I should come back another time. I was even more upset. So apparently even the store manager is terrible with customer service.
If I were to update my review every time I get terrible service from certain staff members, I would've written a novel by now. It seems that the restaurant manager seems to enjoy keeping terrible management/staff on board, even when it results in bad customer service.
Management should be changed here if this restaurant wants better reviews. It should begin with removing Juvelyn, Eileen (another terrible manager) and Johnny (as he's apparently too busy to talk to customer complaints). There are more names, but these seem to be the worst.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if mcdonald's decides to keep these terrible managers so that they may continue to deliver terrible customer service. How many bad complaints will it take get rid of these terrible managers? 1,000,000??
I would've given the rating 1 star if it wasn't for the hard working staff doing their best to tend to the orders.
I had to wait over 30 minutes for my food order tonight. This is not the first time I had to wait this long to get my order from this location. I come by this McDonald's late at night as its the only location in Markham that is open after midnight.
Just about every time I come, its always busy. The drive thru has a line up, the woman behind the counter is busy doing delivery orders and helping customers, and there's only one person cooking the food for all these orders. Sometimes I see the women go and help the person making the food, which makes everyone else wait longer because there is no service.
This is not the first time I had to wait more than 30 minutes at this location. The staff is busy trying to do everything and makes the customer wait for their order. I dont know who does the schedule, authorized the schedule, or in charge of labour, but this store needs more staff at night, especially extra person making the food so food is ready quicker and dont have to wait more than 30 minutes for my food.
I see different people working different nights and sometimes I see the kitchen person struggling with the making the food quickly, and I see some new faces that look like they don't know what they're doing sometimes. This location needs more staff at night so I don't have to wait so long for my food.
When there's more staff, especially making the food, so I don't have to wait more than 30 minutes for my food, then I could give...
Read moreUsually pretty good. But this time, I ordered a junior chicken and a small fry. They charged me for the junior chicken and a small coke. I told them that there was no drink and instead it was supposed to be the junior chicken and small fries. They fix it (or so I thought), I paid, they give me my food, and I left. I get home, and all there is in the bag is the fries. The junior chicken was missing. Now I just had to go back out past midnight to have them rectify the mistake. When I went back, the same employee was working. I explained at the drive-thru speaker that I was just there not long ago, told her what my order was, and what was wrong, and she told me to just go to the 2nd window. It took her forever to get to the window. The first thing she says when she comes is "how would you like to pay". Didn't confirm the order/situation or apologize for the mistake...not even a hello. I explained again that I got my fries but not my sandwich, and she gave me the sandwich free of charge.
The worker didn't even include the receipt in the bag the first time, so I'm lucky she didn't charge me again for the sandwich. Thanks for making it right with no receipt, but you really have to do better. I've been in your shoes -- I used to work that this location. I get that it's busy, but you need to focus! Double check things. If you're confused about something, ask the customer for clarification. Better you take a few extra seconds and do that rather than screw up the order. And don't throw your customer service out the window just because there's a rush in...
Read moreI live 10 mins away from this mcds for 9 years now. Their drive thru has a stellar 100 out of 100 in f ups. I mean this literally. Not once did I go through the drive thru with just a simple order and go. I've had to wait 45 mins to get 2 large drinks once. And everytime it's the same "we're understaffed" excuse from the employees. I worked for mcds for 5 years in the past, and I understand bad management (Hence the late review). But these employees proceed to give customers such a bad attitude as if we had anything to do with their bad management. They'recocky and rude. Like last night my family and I were told their system is down so we'd have to wait 30 mins for our mobile order from the dt, when we asked how we'd get a refund, 2 of the staff on the speaker raised their voice annoyed saying it will not even be processed. Lo and behold the next day comes and the transaction goes through despite us not getting our meal. The fact that I had to talk my mom into trusting the staff last night, then having this happen is ridiculous. Mistakes and accidents happen, but these people always choose the worst attitude with their customers. Speak kindly when you're spoken kindly to, your dt staff has absolutely no respect nor patience. Their lobby staff are benign. It's the people who take advantage of the anonimity of speaking through a speaker that's...
