The food is extremely tasty here, you won't be disappointed taste or authenticity wise. All the other reviews are correct though, what this restaurant lacks is service and good value, which cannot be totally offset by the delicious food. The prices are reasonable until you see the portion of food you're paying for - they're really small. I also don't believe the prices online are up to date.
We ordered the Salted Pork & Bean Curd Soup, Braised Minced Pork Meatballs with Greens, Yang Zhou Sweet & Sour Ribs and Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables. Everything was delicious and I would 100% recommend. As mentioned, the portions are small, especially for the meatballs (which only came with 2). The Sweet & Sour Ribs were a decent size.
The service was also quite bad, but I didn't expect 5 star service. There was only one lady working all parts of the restaurant when we sat down, and the restaurant was actually quite busy for a Tuesday. We did get another waiter as the meal went by which made it better, but we had to constantly go to the front to ask for a menu, water, etc.
Overall I will be back because my father, who is from Shanghai, really enjoyed the taste of all the dishes and we have been unable to find anything comparable in recent years. But I do hope they improve their service and consider making prices more reasonable. We paid around $110 including tax and tip for the 3 dishes, small soup, and 4 bowls...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taste: Beautiful food.. very delicious. Ask for none- spicy if your friends don't like it. Traditional Chinese food not the balls-soaked-in-red-sugar kinda restaurant. The food is delicious! I've been coming here for a while and I was never disappointed. Don't order the stuff you get in other Chinese restaurants. Order their traditional dishes. Those for sure will satisfy easily. I haven't had a dish that was not delicious so far.
Service: This lady is the only one who has been serving me for the past couple of years. She's nice and the food usually takes from 10-20 minutes on average. They basically give you a piece of paper where you mark your items that you choose from the menu and pass it to her. I like it.
Atmosphere: The one thing I would hope they improve on, would be the atmosphere. Other than that, I'd always give them a 5 star rating.
Price: Finally, the price is actually very reasonable. When I go, I usually order 5 items and 2 beers and my bill is usually around $60-$70. I still take more than half the food home. The range of every item is about...

We visited in a weekday night and ordered 7 dishes. Sweet and Sour Boneless Fish - disappointing and disgusting, the fishy smell is so strong that even the rich sweet and sour sauce could not cover it, it makes me sick after the first bite Shanghai Stir-fried Rice Cakes - tasty and authentic but the portion is unexpectedly small, you can get double size for the same price in congee queen or any other Shanghai restaurants Sweet and Sour Ribs, Salted Pork in Jelly - taste good but small portion Xiao long bao, Pan fried pork bun, Fried red bean paste ball - decent portion and average Scallion Oil Noodles - below average
There is only 1 server in the whole restaurant so you cant expect services there, though the server is friendly and polite.
Definitely will not visit again and...
