This is my new go-to spot for stir fry! I stumbled across it on Uber Eats — the images and descriptions caught my eye, and I’m so glad I gave it a try. The food isn’t overly salty (which I really appreciate for health), and the beef… OMG. It’s not that typical rubbery style — the udon steak beef is incredible! Love the steak! The dry chicken and shrimp were so flavorful, it honestly brought tears to my eyes. Just excellent. I didn’t even want to share — I told my family next time to order their own udon steak because one portion is just for me! The menu selection isn’t huge, but every item is made amazing even the sizzling beef. Everything I had was so flavourful and recipe seasoned exactly as should be. I especially love the vegetable stir fry too. Sooo good. Just two small suggestions: It would be great if Uber Eats allowed messages so I could request “less spicy” or order sweet and sour without tofu. I’d also love the option to order only dry shrimp or only dry chicken. Love your unique, high-quality dishes. Thank you for making such beautiful food! I can’t wait to come dine in person and try your rolls, beef & broccoli, and of course order again soon! I gave you 5 stars on Uber Eats but had to share my experience here too.
Update: I came by today with my son and really enjoyed the food. As someone who has worked in the food industry for 30 years, I can see the care you put into your recipes and presentation. Portions were generous, delicious and staff was friendly, and the restaurant itself is spacious and aesthetically very nice. Thank you for a great meal and service! I will definitely come back!
Update:
Disappointing return visit — poor management and careless parenting- chaos instead of comfort - not a restaurant, a playground
We went back to Axis and were disappointed to see three preschoolers running wild in the restaurant — screaming, playing catch, and turning the dining area into a playground — while their three moms sat at the table looking like they were on a time-out for themselves, careless in their parenting. My husband and I waited three minutes before deciding to leave. The waitress said they spoke to the family, but nothing changed. Management should have stepped in firmly and cancel their order. Guests come to a restaurant to relax, not sit in a playground. A restaurant should feel safe and comfortable for all guests. Allowing disruptive behavior to continue like this even after speaking to the mothers, not only ruins the dining experience but also shows a lack of enforcement of basic rules.
Hopefully next time I see...
Read moreThe Best Restaurant in the GTA. Axia Restaurant is a culinary gem and undoubtedly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. From the moment you walk through the doors, the ambiance sets the tone for an extraordinary meal. The modern yet warm décor creates an inviting atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between casual and upscale.
Service (5/5)
The service at Axia is impeccable. From the warm greeting at the entrance to the attentive servers, every staff member seems genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a memorable experience. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. They managed to strike that perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing.
Food (5/5)
Axia’s menu is a masterpiece. It offers a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, blending flavors from Japan, Korea, Thailand, and China, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
I started with the Crispy Spring Rolls, which were perfectly golden and packed with fresh vegetables. The dipping sauce was the perfect complement. For the main course, I opted for the Korean BBQ Beef, which was a revelation. The beef was tender, bursting with flavor, and cooked to perfection. My companion chose the Spicy Pad Thai, and it was equally delightful, with just the right amount of heat and a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess.
The portions were generous, and the presentation was artistic without feeling pretentious.
Drinks & Desserts (5/5)
The cocktail menu at Axia is a must-try. I highly recommend the Lychee Martini, which was refreshing and beautifully balanced. For dessert, we indulged in the Mango Sticky Rice, a classic done exceptionally well.
Atmosphere (5/5)
Whether you’re dining with friends, having a romantic dinner, or celebrating a special occasion, Axia sets the perfect tone. The lighting is soft but adequate, and the background music adds to the ambiance without being intrusive.
Value (5/5)
While Axia is on the pricier side, the quality of food, service, and overall experience justifies the cost. You’re paying for an exceptional dining experience, and it delivers in every way.
Overall Rating: 5/5
Axia Restaurant isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a destination for food lovers. It excels in every category and offers an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re a fan of Asian cuisine or just looking for an outstanding meal, Axia is the place to be. I can’t...
Read moreI hate to leave a bad review, but I am not sure how else to really notify people and the owners of fixing their ways in order to provide better service. I work closely with merchants in the food service industry and I am aware of many things that are of minimum level requirement when it comes to dining and take out. I was appalled at the level of service we endured the other night (Eid Night to be exact) where out of 10 tables, only 6 of them were full. We had a larger group (6) people which I don’t find quite large especially when they are seated in the middle. Our food was late, after 20 minutes we got appetizer, then 40 minutes later we got our first dish which was Shanghai noodles and we’re supposed to come with another dish we ordered together. Our waters were practically finished by the time the food came and no one came to check up on us on refill. Other diners were waiting to pay their bill, even though the kitchen was cooking and we can hear all the sounds. Majority of the staff were standing at their pos systems for most of the night and running around when they seemed fit. From my perspective they were prioritizing delivery food over diners which is rudely unacceptable. Because we arrived at 7:45 and only started eating our main dishes at 8:45-9:00pm. They gave us a complimentary noodles dish for the inconvenience but having four servers is not understaffed. It means you are not managed properly and have no idea what priority is. This would be the first time and the last time I go here with a large group. Thankfully what saved them from us walking out of there and not needing to pay was that the food tastes good. Not great, not hot and fresh, not terrible, not cold…just good. Needless to say I wish the owners or managers would take care of their in-house first and put a pause on the deliveries or take some initiative into bringing in more staff to take care of...
