The Alley — Restaurant in Mississauga

Till tonight this was my place to go especially on cold nights. A hot Royal No9 with tapioca was the perfect heart warming treat. Only tonight I was totally disappointed, my wife and kids ordered for me. The attached Royal number9 and I took the 1st sip in the car and the beverage is lukewarm. I tried the other one also lukewarm. The La France for my wife was definitely warmer, so I went back and explained to the lady that the drink is not hot enough. She goes and replaces it with another one , I try it also the same lousy temperature😡. She said it’s 65 degrees. She never even tried to ask if I needed it warmer. I tried to argue but I was able to tell that I am gonna frustrate myself in vain. So I went out and I threw my beverage. I used to go to downtown Ottawa in January to enjoy it. Now I am soooooo mad that I want to forget that I ever knew the brand. It says that the one who replied is the owner 🤔. I always took the beverage “by default” warmer than it was not extremely hot 😰 So how would I know to notify you? I did come back and complain and you gave me the same and kept arguing with me. This made me feel alienated and as if I am crazy😤 for asking about the temperature !!!! I did tell you that I have been served this beverage hotter than what it was without asking at the cashier of the alley in that branch and other branches. Then allegedly the owner says it’s the standard 😐 Maybe the thermostat is broken then. I am even more upset because you are still trying to patronize me with ridicule. Pay me back my money and i will forget that this branch...

I have started to love this place lately and there are so many reasons for it. It is so much better than bubble tea and you can actually taste the “tea flavour”. There is only one size so you don’t have to choose. Price is reasonable in terms of quality. The tapiocas are so much better then any other place I have been to. You will actually get the passion fruit seeds through your straw and I can’t tell you the feeling of all the toppings and flavours coming together in my mouth is an experience I don’t think I ever want to get rid of. Sadly there are not many locations in Mississauga but the two places I have seen including this one seems to have a nice, clean and not a cheap vibe at all. I only request them to add more toppings as o found it to be less compared to the square one location. Please don’t raise your prices for the size you are providing. I admire the quality but it only makes you want more, so don’t lose your grip on your quality. I certainly look forward to trying more of your drinks which I haven’t tried...
