Bao Shin Hakka — Restaurant in Mississauga

After being loyal customers for over 20 years, we are shocked and disgusted by how far Bao Shin has fallen. We ordered our usual chicken pakora, and what we received was an absolute health hazard. The batter tasted old, stale, and spoiled, like it had been sitting around for days on the counter. It was greasy, rubbery, and completely unfit for consumption. This isn’t just about bad food — this is a serious food safety concern. When we called to report the issue, expecting a basic apology or replacement, Wendy offered a pathetic $5 credit. No accountability. No apology. No offer to remake it. After two decades of supporting this restaurant, that was their idea of “customer service”? Unacceptable. We’re not letting this go. We’ll be reporting this to Health Canada — because if this is what they’re comfortable serving, who knows what else is happening behind the scenes. This goes beyond disappointment — it’s negligence. We will not be returning. If you care about your health or your money, stay far away from Bao Shin. They clearly don’t care about their food, their customers, or basic hygiene...

This is pretty bad, had uber eats from this place. Ordered fried beef and ginger which was submerged in so much oil i could use some for my car. There was also barely any beef and so many chunks of ginger. The sweet & sour chicken was horrible, whoever cut the vegetables must be cross eyed since the pieces of vegetables were bigger and different sizes compared to the chicken pieces (barely any chicken as well), also why the hell is there tomatoes in a sweet & sour chicken?! Tomatoes throws off the flavour and texture, whoever was the chef must’ve lost his taste buds as even the Singapore noodles were so bland, and all the dishes had a weird musky aftertaste.

Definitely regret choosing them when I was hungry. Who knows, maybe their other dishes are better but the ones I had were terrible, not only in the way they tasted but the way it was prepared and cooked... At least I’m not hungry anymore and much more wiser in trusting my stomach with trying restaurants like this. I’ll stick to my own hakka restaurant that I trust.

I have no idea how they have 4 stars, they probably bought those reviews. I bought food recently and their chicken looked and tasted like very bad quality chicken. I was really hungry and disappointed that i wasted my hard earned money on this. I got the chili chicken lunch special and when i opened it, to my utter disappointment, the chicken looked pale and tasted bad. I would have been less disappointed if it only tasted bad and probably wouldn't go thru the trouble of writing this, but their chicken looked like really bad quality chicken and it looked stale. This is something they can clearly avoid by buying good quality chicken and using fresh food. I cant believe theyre willing to risk the health of their customers this way just to save a few bucks! Ive learned my lesson and i will never order from here again! If anyone asks about this place, ill tell them about my awful experience! Really really upset, and still...
