The unlimited soup is a game-changer! Their signature sinigang (a sour tamarind-based soup) is a must-try, bursting with flavor and packed with vegetables and your choice of meat. I was also impressed by the creamy and comforting lomi, a noodle soup that warms the soul. Read moreWe went to this restaurant to eat kamayan, but our customer service was horrible. We had a reservation for 5:30pm and we were running a bit behind and didn’t get there until 5:50pm. We called ahead letting them know we were going to be late and they said they had already set up the food. First of all, I don’t understand why a place would set up the food with no one at the table. The food was left there out in the open for 20 min to get cold.
When we got there the owner told me that they usually set up right at your reservation time, which I think is odd. There was no communication when making a reservation that the food was set up at 5:30pm on the dot. I have been to many kamayan restaurants and they set up once at least one person had arrived.
Second of all, the owner told me he could put some aluminum foil over the food to keep it warm and put it back in the kitchen to keep it in the warmer. What I don’t understand is why he couldn’t have covered the food once it was set up if he saw no one was there? Once our whole party arrived he had to take all the food back to the kitchen to warm it up again, doubling the work.
To make matters worse, when packing our leftovers I found a LONG BLONDE HAIR in the rice. When I showed the owner he brought out all his staff and tried to prove to me everyone wore hairnets and had no blonde hair. However, the hair I pulled out was dyed blonde because I could see the regrowth the of black hair at the root of the strand. No one in our party had blonde hair and I had found it in the middle of the rice. There was no apology and no compensation, just the owner trying to prove to me he was not responsible. Needless to say I am never...

The boodle feast!! When you have a big group of people and you want to have a good time, that’s the way to go.
You need to make reservations at least 2 hours before hand and since I didn’t do that, we didn’t have the boodle feast. On weekends, they only serve the boodle feast for 10 ppl or more only too. So weeknights are your best bet for that big feast if you have less than ten ppl!
I didn’t know this before hand, so we didn’t get the boodle feast. Instead, we ordered a-la-carte. The items on the menu is relatively inexpensive. There were a number of dishes that you can get for $9 a dish, such as the dish I had, the paa or the barbecued chicken. You get unlimited refills of rice too!!! You get to choose between white or garlic rice. The chicken was tender since I got the thigh, it was a full thigh per plate ordered. The sauce was alright. You get a small dish of sweet plum sauce like of radishes and soy sauce to dip your chicken. But other than the barbecued chicken and rice, there’s really nothing else on the plate. No veggies or side dishes.
LAST TIP?!
I think it’s worth trying their boodle feast if you haven’t tried it, but make sure you call in advance to make reservations ahead of time so they can prepare the feast for you! They have three different options of feast with different price ranges, the higher the price range, the more...
