This place likes to rip off customers who are paying $200+ for a pig! We went to pick up an order for a designated time and the pig had a big hole in the middle because it cracked when they were moving it. Presentation wise it wasn't great because it looked like the pig separated into two halves and could have been dropped on the floor and put back together. When asking for our deposit of $120 back because the pig isn't what we expected, they would not budge as they kept insisting the pig is still good. They gave us the receipt to look at their cancellation policy but nothing written there covers the customer due to company negligence. Being backed into a corner with no other choice but to take the pig as is or lose the deposit, the "manager" or whoever was talking with us, ended up giving us another customer's pig after lying and telling him that they already prechopped it. In the end we left with a whole proper pig but only after the manager lied to other customers.
It is NOT right for a specialty store that advertises themselves as a lechon place, to have such strict policies that they can't bend the rules for something they failed to deliver on. Hello, the future of your business may depend on word of mouth or simple review posts on social media/internet. It is not like we cancelled an order last minute or never showed up and wanted a refund a few days later. We went there with intentions of just picking up our order, paying the balance and enjoying the food. Instead it took over 20 minutes to talk it out with the manager who does not want/like to listen, but would like to constantly say how there's no refund and they need 48hrs notice to cancel or 6 hours to make a new pig. Please note - still none of this is our fault. He likes to lecture that every other business works this way and how they don't give back deposits. His whole tone and mannerisms was if he was trying to meet us halfway when really he wasn't. We asked for a discount and he said absolutely not. As a customer and someone who works in customer service, it is just bullshit.
We will not be going back there and I suggest anyone who wants lechon, to go somewhere else as you may be in this position at one point or another. We have been ordering there for many years for many occasions and left feeling very disappointed that he kept trying to pawn off a ruined pig without any...
Read moreI bought pork siopao. Now this siopao was not made by Bella’s but they were selling them in a pack of 7. Expiration date was July 22 but on July 17, I noticed that the siopao was already showing molds. I wasted my money and had to toss them. To the owner of Bella’s, please contact your supplier of this product. Expiration date should be accurate. This can lead to food poisoning and possible lawsuit. Update: Today, Feb 18,2024 I bought 1 lb of lechon and it was not fresh at all. I was told that the lechon will be ready between 11 and 11:30. I was assuming they will have fresh and delicious lechon but it wasn’t. Do not buy lechon from this place. It is a waste of money👎. Just want to protect other consumers and I hope I am also helping Bellas to improve...
Read morePart of Filipino culture is being matulungin - always ready to offer help and provide the best service possible. Unfortunately, this value was not reflected in my recent experience at Bella's.
I was asked by a friend to pick up a lechon, which was quite heavy, so I kindly requested assistance to carry it to my car. However, I was told, 'Sorry, we are not allowed to go outside.' As a result, I had to carry the entire lechon by myself, which was quite challenging.
While I’m sure the lechon tasted great, I wish the staff had been more accommodating when assistance was genuinely needed. I hope to have a better experience next time, and I sincerely hope this feedback leads to improved service...
