Biggies ( Formerly known as Porchetta Roll) — Restaurant in Mississauga

• 12/30/24** As I expected …after the original owners sold ,who were fantastic! I knew this place wouldn’t last with the new owners….totally went downhill! UPDATE 3.18.2023 Well I haven’t been in awhile but prior to this visit the owners were 5 star!!! I went today at 330pm ….no chicken,no porchetta. Buddy tries telling me that’s cause it’s so good we sold out. Ya right buddy,you obviously don’t know how to run a place. Should always be chickens and porchetta cooking. Been numerous times before you took over. Every time I went the original orwners had those rotisserie’s full of chicken and the porchetta always cooking away.your ovens weren’t even ON!! not to mention empty. Didn’t even smell like porchetta in there. Every time I went prior, you would walk in and immediately got the wonderful home cooked scent of slow roasted pork and chicken!! Not anymore!! Think you guys are trying to get away with just sandwiches and fast fried chicken fingers etc. anyway the way you’re running it now I’ll never come back and I’m sure you guys won’t last long once people catch on that it’s garbage now. So sad!! Was soooo good before!! Going to miss it. I used to go at least once a month and drop $100 on porchetta and chicken potatoes ,slaw ,rice for my family. Huge portions. Was so awesome. I don’t even think they had potatoes or rice. One other thing I noticed was it looked and seemed dirty in the kitchen area etc. previous owners you could see it was spotless!! What a shame!! I usually order the rotisserie chicken meal or the chicken sandwich a few times a month here. Other notable items I've tried are the porchetta, and the pulled pork sandwiches. They're delicious! However, they switched their bread on the sandwiches, again. And this time it's disappointing.

When I first tried their sandwiches years back, the bread they used was a dense artisanal bread. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Then about a year ago, they switched to a lighter bread, but still was similar enough to the original bread that gave the sandwich a gourmet feel and that put them above the other chicken sandwiches you could find at other places.

The recent change is basically a hamburger bun. The whole feel of the sandwich is just different now and you don't taste the chicken as much due to how the bun overpowers everything. I will probably still get the chicken sandwich - just less often. I'm hoping they reconsider this change.

The meals on the other hand are still good, they stopped including a pineapple slice with them which is fine. It was just a nice, fresh addition to what may be...

I am from the east side of the GTA and when I searched for the top restaurants in Mississauga, this showed up.

I was super excited to try their food because of the rave reviews. I ordered the porchetta and chicken combo with Parisian fries and Ceasar salad.

The porchetta was super tender. Loved the taste, it wasn't overpowering. If there's anything I would improve on, it's adding the crispy skin (more on this one later).

The chicken was very tasty and moist. Whatever seasoning they put on the skin, it definitely enhances the flavour. The Parisian fries, which are really small potatoes, were delish and softness is perfect. Ceasar salad is your typical Ceasar salad, which is exactly what I wanted.

After the meal, I walked up to the guy taking the order, and told him I wished there was skin on the combo I ordered. He mentioned that they do it on the sandwiches. Here's the best part, he asked me if I wanted to try. Of course! So he handed me a bag of crispy pork skin. That's excellent customer service! Kudos...
