Lezzet Shawarma: Is the Hype Justified? After countless Instagram and TikTok videos proclaiming Lezzet Shawarma as the undisputed king of GTA shawarma, my expectations were sky-high as I finally decided to give it a try. Stepping inside, the first thing that hits you is the sheer volume of people – a line snaking out the door – and surprisingly, the music. It's less a restaurant and more a nightclub, which, for a quick shawarma fix, felt a bit jarring. Despite the 15-minute wait in line, the service was impressively efficient. With easily ten staff members hustling behind the counter, orders were being taken and food prepped at a lightning-fast pace. I opted for their touted "Ali J's" specialty shawarma platter, one with rice and another with fries, eager to taste what all the fuss was about.

The verdict? Lezzet Shawarma is... fine. The food is by no means bad; the shawarma is flavorful and well-prepared. However, when you're constantly bombarded with claims of "best in the GTA," "life-changing," and "unforgettable," "fine" just doesn't cut it. I've had equally good, if not better, shawarma platters at other establishments across the city, often without the nightclub ambiance or the lengthy queue. Ultimately, Lezzet Shawarma delivers a decent meal, and their ability to handle such high volume is commendable. June 2022: I've been coming to this place since 2014. Can't rave enough about this place. These guys go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, the food, and the atmosphere. The attention to detail and quality they provide time and again in admirable. They really make you feel welcome. This is my go-to place for an amazing shawarma plate/wrap. A big shout out to Fabian and Dario. Got myself the mix shawarma plate. It tastes just as amazing as it looks. Packed with flavors. Fresh! If your in the area, I highly recommend this place!

5 Years ago Review: This forum doesn't have more than five stars. This place deserves all the credit and even more. Its not just the amazing food. The level of service the guys portray their each and everyday is phenomenal. I go to this location every Friday evening an let me tell you, it is worth the trip each and every time. The boys and lady there are awesome and make me feel at home. They know who they are. If the owner or founder of this franchise is reading this: You are the most fortunate person to have such awesome people working at your Restaurant. They work hard and put a smile on peoples faces. I'm referring all my friends and family members to this place....

Legitimately my favorite place to eat, bar none. I’ve been coming to Lezzets for many years now, and you never fail to be satisfied with the food or the service. You notice the positive vibe the team gives off whenever you walk into the restaurant, and everyone behind the counter smiling and having a good time interacting with each other and the customers. The music is lively and sports entertainment is airing on the tv’s. The vibes are immaculate! And the food.. there is no equal. If you want a shawarma plate or wrap and you go elsewhere, you’re doing yourself a disservice. The food is always fresh and tasty, and the portions are generous. But the best part of the dining experience here is that the staff always go the extra mile to make your experience feel special. Members for the team will remember your name and ask you about your family, how work is going, etc.. they make you feel as though you’re part of the team, and that’s not just with myself. I see it in their interactions with every customer. For example, I’m a huge barbecue sauce fan (moreso than normal), and the owner was kind enough to not only kind enough to remember every time I come, but he even gave me my own personal bottle as a thank you for being a loyal customer!
