The management at this store has changed. Far far better than before so I have updated my ratings. This original amd legitimate review was posted 4 years ago (c2019) under previous management. Funny story.
So I admit that I shamelessly order pizza here too often. I'm a regular in a place nobody should be.
Today I ordered 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni&ham. When I picked it up it was past the 15 minutes so it should have been free BUT I didn't say anything. (I once said somthing a long time ago but the manager gave me a REALLY hard time and ended up recognising that "you've been a good customer so I'll give you a few cokes." Which was agreeable.)
As I waited this evening, the attendant talked with her manager in the back, came back to the front under the direction of the manager (he was talking to her but I didn't care to listen), and brought 6 pizza slices from the front heating racks to the back (3x cheese, 3x pepperoni). You know the racks I mean - the ones that you can't decide whether the intent is to disply mildly appetising cardboard or completely unappetising pizza. Yeah you know what I'm taking about...
So they then shortly after give me my XL box which I took home - a box that wasn't fully closed as the pizza was slightly too big. I thought nothing of it at the time except perhaps... cool, bigger is better.
So I get home, turn on Nexflix (Downton obv), and open the box to find 6 slices of unappetising cardboard loosely stacked into a circle! I applaud the manager's creativity in what I can only attribute was a brilliant feat of free-pizza-because-it-took-over-15-minutes--avoidance.
Awsome. Awe-inspriing. Not only was the order a low-fat improvement (you forgots the ham, bra), but simultaneously managed to bring back six slices of pizza from the brink of trash.
Really, the only person I truely fault in the end was the clerk who carried out the deed. Unable to proclaim themselves the brilliant mastermind, they're left as the employee who just follows directions without consideration for the customer. While it likely it ends here (it's libel if I use harsher qualifications than that), who knows what further flashes of brilliance and profit-motivated creativity are directed from the manager to the front-clerk?!
An honourable mention in tonight's festivities was the customer service rep's manager who proclaimed me a liar. Admittedly not in so few of words, but I was clearly told that "store managers cannot do that... therefore it cannot have happened" (I think they call that a cogent arguement folks). That makes me a liar in my books. She refused to accept the photo I clearly took. And refused to meet me at the store to confront the manager, pizza in hand.
That's the story. For full disclosure: My ask from customer service was as follows and they refused me:
I should have got a free pizza. I expect a refund for the pizza I paid for and a delivery to my home of the pizza I ordered from a different location. This will make me whole.
a phone call from somebody in the organization who understands the situation, has spoken to the store, and can explain to me what steps they are taking so ensure this brilliant treachery is not allowed to...
I’m giving it a 1 star because honestly it’s not worth coming here. Me and my mom we came here and my mom ordered a halal pepperoni pizza and I ordered a thin crust pizza. By the way I came here on Monday. So after we ordered we were never given our receipts and untop of that the Indian girl she never washed her hands when she took cash from my mom. She right away without washing her hands starting making our pizza. So beside that store there’s another store. We got food from there and and we went back to pizza pizza. It’s been more than 20 mins and our pizza is still not ready. My mom was hungry and she started eating the food that she bought from the other store. And then she calls my mom out for eating food inside the store saying she’s not allowed? Like I’m sorry but what do you mean by that? No food and drinks allowed in the store due to safety health reasons. Does that even make sense. You know there’s people in this world that is allergic to gluten and pizza and so much other things. Like how can she have the audacity to say that. I got upset cause there’s no sign anywhere that it says your not allowed to bring food inside. Every pizza pizza I’ve been to never said that before and actually food for outside places are allowed. Personally I feel like the Indian girl said that because she wants to make money and not want people eating food from other store except her store. Not only that she never apologized to my mom. And she took forever making our pizza never even gave us a waiting time. Not only that she had a airpod in her ear talking to someone on call and not really paying attention to the customers that’s coming and going. She paid more attention to who she was talking to on call. Not only that she had a attitude with every customer. To the owner of this store you need to do better with your employees. Also they are very short in staff as well. Because she’s the one that’s touching money and also making food without washing her...
Read moreI used to be a regular at this Pizza Pizza, but after my experience today, I will never return again.
For context, there was conflict between the owner and another customer. The customer was upset by the inappropriate way the owner was look at my friends and I (a group of teenage/20 year-old girls), and confronted the owner about it. It escalated pretty quickly with threats of calling the cops, getting the establishment shutdown, etc., as well as the owners trying to get us involved while we were trying to enjoy our meal. While trying to leave immediately, we were stopped by the owners as they locked us inside the restaurant saying the cops were coming. Having not been involved, and specifically told them we did not want to be involved we were taken aback by this, as the other customer has already left at this point. Eventually being "allowed" (after complaints on our end), the owner follows us back to our car and took a picture of our license plate. Keep in mind we are a group of young girls out at 1 am, with a man that has just been accused of looking at us inappropriately, and while having no direct involvement with the initial conflict. In summary, I do not appreciate how unprofessionally the owner dealt with the situation, and how aggressive and inappropriate he got when trying to explain my concerns with being locked in the restaurant, and him taking a photo of our license plate. Please be very careful if you chose to continue to visit...
