Kung Fu Tea on Dixie (Mississauga) — Restaurant in Mississauga

Kung Fu Tea is usually my go-to spot for bubble tea. I and my friends have been going to Kung Fu Tea since we discover the location by Square One but ever since this location open up, we've been going to this location more because it was much closer, and also where the store is located, it has a variety of food selections. However, after speaking to the owners here, I will no longer be coming back to this location or Kung Fu at all. As mentioned, I have been going to Kung Fu Tea for a while and I even signed up for the point rewards card since I went here often. Today, I went to the Dixie location to redeem my points (as I usually do) but this time, the owner had charged me for the toppings I had added to my drink, which I found very odd because I was never charged for my toppings before when redeeming the drink. (When you get 10 points, you are able to redeem 1 free drink of your choice.) I have been to multiple Kung Fu Tea before and I order the same drink all the time, even if I was redeeming my points. I even saw that the total came down to $0 with the toppings but he had manually added another set of toppings so I would have to pay for it. I confronted the owners and asked them if this policy was new because this has never happened before in the last 3 years of coming to any Kung Fu Tea location. He then proceeded to inform me that this has been Kung Fu Tea policy for a long time. After he had explained, I shared with the gentlemen and lady the confusion I had because this had never happened to me before and that I have been to multiple locations, including this one and they never charged me. He then talked over me and told me that this has always been a policy. There was a small talking back and forth, as I was just trying to explain to him but seem like he didn't want to listen to me. The conclusion is I had told him I never knew this and it's new cause I never got charged and thanked him for explaining it to me. Right when walking out, he told me then employees are doing it wrong and they don't know what they are doing and that the next time I go to another Kung Fu Tea location, they will charge me moving forward and don't I worry about it. That left me speechless. 1 star for poor customer service and how it was handled.

UPDATE FEB 2023: I have spoken to other Kung Fu Teas, and they do not charge you for toppings for the free drinks when redeeming. I have also noticed that this google review is being hidden and that the owner is only answering to others and ignoring this problem. I believe that they are aware of what they are doing, and that's why they are hiding this...

09,24,2022 (5 stars): Got myself the icecream black warriors. Amazing! The pearls the caramel and icecream. So so good! Shout out to Francis again and his boss! Great individuals and they sold me on this drink. One of my favorites now! Check these guys out if your ever around the area.

1 month ago (5 stars): I've been coming here every week or biweekly. The staff dont disappoint and the drink certainly doesnt either. Quality is still consistent! Got me a Mango Slush. No complaints. On a hot day itll get you going. Shout out again to the front line Francis and Cire. Time and again the staff deliver and they dont disappoint. If your in the neighbourhood I highly recommend this location.

3 Months Ago: Front Specialist Francis was awesome! New location and hes representing himself and the company strong! Positive energy, knowledgable, and great all around customer service. Oh and did I mention the drink was amazing. Mango slush! Highly recommend this location and anyone in corporate reading this review, please acknowledge Francis and reward him. Hes very passionate and I can see it from the moment I entered the location to when I left with him smiling and acknowledging his work....

Quick and friendly service. Happy to have this shop open close to home.

Edit: after my initial visit, I have to say that this location isn’t very consistent. Three subsequent visits have been disappointing. I didn’t want to update my review from a perfect 5 but I think it’s only fair to give an accurate feedback regarding their service and products. On one occasion, I had paid for an extra topping (it came with aloe but I added coconut jelly) but what I paid for wasn’t added. On another occasion the lychee tea I’m very familiar and fond with from KFT tasted extremely weak and watered down (ordered it exactly the same way every time) and most recently I specifically requested for a topping to be excluded from a drink yet they still put it in there…). I’m all instances I had taken my drink without trying in-store. Only while driving and far enough away that I notice these mistakes. Probably won’t be returning to this location. Unfortunate since this is the closest bbt...
