Burger King — Restaurant in Mississauga

On Tuesday Jan 16th at approximately 5:30pm, I entered the Burger King at the corner of Dixie road and burnhamthorpe road in Mississauga with my 5 year old and 2 year old. Before ordering, all 3 of us went into the women’s washroom so that I could help the children go to the washroom before we ordered dinner. We entered the women’s washroom and there was a woman (approx 28-35yrs old) who was looking through her bag and wiping up the counters and talking to herself. We didn’t pay much attention to her. We went into the stall and my son used the washroom followed by my daughter. While my 2 year old was using the toilet, she said “mama what’s that?” And reaches for a NEEDLE THAT WAS FULL OF WHAT I SUSPECTED TO BE HEROIN sitting on top of the toilet dispenser. I screamed “NO!! THATS A NEEDLE !!! DON’T TOUCH!!” and luckily she stopped just in time. A SPLIT SECOND LATER and that needle would have been in my 2 year olds hand! I rushed out of there with my 2 kids and the woman who had been outside the stall went into the stall after we got out and grabbed the needle, so it was clealy hers. I went and spoke to the manager to tell her what happened. Her response to me was “OH IT’S JUST A BAD NEIGHBOURHOOD HERE”. I said that she should go check it out! And she went around back and nothing happened. The woman was never asked to leave, the police were not called. The woman then had another friend join her and they were clearly high, constantly wiping up the drink station, scratching themselves and talking to themselves. I myself regret not calling the police, but being with my 2 young kids, I was just trying to manage them and all their questions. I am completely sick and appalled that the manager of the store knew that my 2 year old almost grabbed a full needle of drugs in the washroom and did not bother to even ask the people to leave or handle the situation in any way. Burger King is a family restaurant, but by her the managers own commentary, it sounds like this is a regular occurance at this location and this is not ok! My daughter could have been infected, or even worse, dead! And if it was not for me, maybe another older child could have gone in alone but still not old enough to know what that is and could have been seriously injured or killed. I recently visited Burger King, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a fast-food restaurant. First, the customer service was terrible. The staff seemed completely uninterested and unprofessional. I had to wait several minutes before anyone even acknowledged me at the counter, even though there was no line.

Second, the cleanliness of the place was unacceptable. Tables were dirty, the floor was sticky, and the trash bins were overflowing. It was clear that no one had bothered to clean up for hours. This made the whole dining experience uncomfortable.

As for the food, it was a disaster. The fries were cold and soggy, and the burger looked nothing like the pictures. The patty was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for too long. Even the soda from the fountain machine tasted off, like the syrup-to-water ratio was wrong. To top it all off, they got my order wrong—missing items and adding things I didn’t ask for.

I also used the drive-thru on another occasion, and it wasn’t any better. The wait was ridiculously long, and when I finally got my food, it was poorly packaged, and the sauces were missing. I don’t expect luxury service at a fast-food chain, but basic quality and respect for customers shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be coming back. Burger King needs to work on improving their service, food quality, and cleanliness. There are plenty of other fast-food places that are doing a...

This is the best burger King and definitely the best fast food place in the area. I am usually there during the late night shifts when I am working emergency overnight shifts and need to grab a bite. It's usually the same ladies during the shift and they are great. When it isn't, the service is still great, however, it's always nice to see a familiar face. Food is also fresh and tasty. I've gone to some higher end seafood restaurants in the past, and this burger king's BK fish sandwich is tastier than the high end seafood restaurants!!! Does that make any sense to me? Absolutely not, we would think the restaurant's seafood would be better (especially for the premium). The premium restaurants' food was not. Maybe I was just unlucky that day at that particular restaurant. However, it ultimately shows the quality and dedication of the staff for a fresh tasty meal and good service. Whenever I am there next, I will get names so I can update my review to praise the hard workers that always give me great service.
