I’m honestly pretty disappointed with our experience at Eggsmart. I wish we had just gone to Craveables down the plaza instead and paid the extra few bucks on our meals. Our server was super sweet and the vibe was your typical brunch spot, but nothing really stood out. You’d think that would make it a safe choice, simple menu, decent prices—but it just didn’t deliver.
I got the Cobb salad, which was alright. The real letdown was my mom’s “Barbacoa Fiesta” omelette. It looked amazing on the menu so much so that I almost cheated on my diet for it. Thank god I didn’t because what showed up was a recession indicator on a plate LMFAO. It looked like the barbacoa was a garnish on top of the omelette. We pointed it out to our server (who actually agreed with us) and she took it to the manager who came back and said it had 3oz of beef, and that we could pay extra to add more. I’m not crazy, there’s no way that was 3oz and even if it was, don’t be shy, reflect that on your menu! We didn’t want to make a scene or cause trouble for our poor server, also we weren’t about to wait around for a replacement dish, so we cut our losses and just enjoyed our barbacoa-flavored egg.l
The rest of the food was fine, but nothing memorable. but in a competitive brunch market with places like Craveables and Eggstatic (which we skipped due to a long wait), “fine” isn’t good enough. I’ve attached the photos of what the dish looked like on the menu vs what...
Read moreMy friends and I went out for breakfast which we rarely do. This was the closest restaurant near us, and we’ve been to eggsmart before but not this one. The hospitality and service was amazing. Very confident that we were welcomed in by the owner, it was clear that there was care for the establishment in her presence. Our waiter was named Yurii, nice young man very polite introduced himself properly and continued to provide us service with a smile. The food came, dishes were beautifully displayed and were perfectly made, taste was exceptional. Most importantly and I can’t emphasize this enough the restaurant was clean, clean, clean. Everything looked spotless even the washroom was spectacularly clean I normally hate using public washrooms unless I really need too and was I ever surprised with how clean the washroom was. All in all it was a wonderful experience for my friends and I, I have had eggsmart many times and it was never something that I would speak highly of but this establishment did a phenomenal job and I think other owners should come in and see how to properly run an establishment and make their customers feel so welcomed from hospitality to service to atmosphere because these guys did it right . I highly recommend...
Read moreWe have been coming to this location for a few years now. Generally we have a great breakfast and good service.
The service this time was poor, despite the restaurant being fairly empty. We had to ask several times for coffee refills, and nobody ever came by to check if we were ok at any point. Two of the orders were wrong, but they corrected that fairly quickly. The toast we ordered were supposed to be dry, with no butter, but instead came fully drowned in excess butter (see pic), and not fully toasted, but rather soggy. By the time someone came around so that we could tell them, we had finished our breakfast. We told the server and showed her the toast and she kind of shrugged it off.
The quality of the rest of the food was decent. The medium poached eggs were cooked perfect. Everything else was fairly good, but the experience of service ruined that unfortunately.
The restaurant and washroom were clean.
The food here is good, but the restaurant has declined from the level it was at over the previous years. Hopefully they pick things up and improve their faults, but it seemed that nobody was really motivated or happy at this location, as they had been...
