Disappointing Experience at Mary Brown's - Dixie Rd & Eglinton Ave. E.
My recent visit to Mary Brown's at Dixie Rd & Eglinton Ave. E. in Mississauga left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. My husband ordered a 6-piece chicken meal, but upon receiving our order, we discovered that one piece was missing from the package.
When my husband called the store to address the issue, he was met with rudeness from a female staff member who insisted that she had packed 6 pieces of chicken. Despite our attempts to explain the situation, she continued to argue with us and even asked my husband to identify which pieces he received.
Feeling upset and disrespected by the accusations of dishonesty, I decided to go to the store myself to speak to the manager. However, I was informed that there was no manager on site at the time. This lack of managerial presence only added to my frustration.
After some back and forth, I was eventually given two more pieces of chicken along with extra sides, but the gesture did little to mitigate the disrespect I felt. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the staff's only suggestion was to file a complaint with Skip the Dishes, which seemed irrelevant to the issue at hand.
Overall, this experience was highly disappointing, and the poor customer service we received tarnished our impression of Mary Brown's. I hope that management takes steps to address the attitude and behavior of their staff to prevent similar incidents...

Super attentive even through the rush for Mary Browns delicious offerings 🤗😋 The restaurant was bustling with customers and orders coming through, yet she still managed to greet us all with a smile, communicate well with the cooks in the back so we get fresh out the fryer chicken always 🤗😋 and went as far as to recommend the MB app for the convenience (convinced me to download it and I am glad I did) *I am sorry if I messed up the spelling 😊
This was our first time at a Mary Brown's Chicken and Taters restaurant and it was a very pleasant as well as informative experience... our server / cashier ( I didn't got her name and I didn't bother to ask ) was what you look for in a worker when you are trying out a new fast food joint. Team in the back were great as well since our food came out awesome.
We got a mix of regular and spicy, chicken with taters coleslaw and gravy. The chicken was juicy, had good colour with fresh oil, and seasoned just right. Our little server lady gave us some tips and facts about their gravy being plant base and not flour and she was right all natural you could taste the difference from the competition we'll...
Read moreI placed an order for popcorn at 6:15 chicken, and a soda through the mobile app. The app said my order would be ready by 6:39 PM, but when I arrived and noticed it wasn’t busy, I decided to check in a little early , around 6:25–6:30 PM , to see if my order might be ready, since it was just one serving.
When I asked the staff member if it was almost ready, she told me that it had already been prepared. I was surprised and asked how long it had been sitting out, and she said about 10 minutes. I explained that the app never notified me that my food was ready , it still said “being prepared.” She responded that I was supposed to come up to the counter regardless.
I respectfully told her that the app should notify customers when their order is ready, and that staff need to mark it as ready in the system so customers know when to come up. If the food has been sitting out without any notification, that defeats the purpose of ordering through the app. I asked if I could get a fresh batch, and thankfully, she agreed.
The issue here is that I had to explain how the mobile order process is supposed to work. If the app doesn’t notify me when my order is ready, I shouldn’t be expected to guess and go up to the counter. A simple update on the app — showing that the order is ready , would have avoided all this confusion. Please look into this process so other customers don’t have the...
