Fairly inexpensive food. I don't really remember how it tasted, but I saw them on Insauga.ca as being one of the best takeout places in Mississauga.
So my experience: I set up a pickup for a specific time but when I got there (and I was about 5 minutes late) they started making the food. One of the dishes got messed up and they had to fix it (but they noticed that before I did) Made me run another 15 minutes behind for the next pickup I needed to do (was doing a few food runs for a party). All the other places I went to that day were ahead of time. I probably should have used Uber eats for multiple pickups.
They were cash only, something they did not state on the phone when my wife ordered. Had to use an ATM there (I hate ATM charges).
The people running the shop were nice and added in extra chopsticks for my order.
I think the service was good, friendly and pretty quick (other than not having the ~$75 dollar order ready at the time specified. We ordered at 11am, for pickup at 4:30pm). This may have been a case of, better not start the food until we know the customer will be here.
My guests enjoyed the food, so that was a good thing. I will have to try them again and see if the experience is better now that I know...
Read moreI used to pick food up from Noodle Wok, all the time, but they had a problem with the plumbing in their washroom that, wasn't fixed for a long time. It made the place smell like the sewer, not very appetizing. However, I visited the place the other day and the smell problem was finally fixed. The food is for a Canadian palet and generally bland lacks spices. The one dish that I do like is the Szechuan beef on noodles, you can have it with pan fried or crispy noodles.I prefer the crispy variety. It is nice and crispy and the noodles absorb the spicey sauce. I always add some chili oil on it. The chicken fried rice is hord the meet is old with cartilage in the rice. They use tasteless frozen vegetables in it. Other dishes that are made with battered and deep fried meets are always drenched in a sauce that is way too sweet. Some of the dishes are a bit greasy. Lately they offer Chinese broccoli, something that, wasn't available before. Beef and Chinese broccoli with black bean sauce is not bad. On the plus side plenty of seating is available, the prices are average the service is fast and the place is fairly clean for a Chinese restaurant. Usually they are open 'till 11pm during the week and Sunday, 'till 12am on...
Read moreEDIT: Looks like the entire team changed recently. The food tastes COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in a BAD WAY. The szechuan chicken tasted nothing like it was before, i had to spit it out. The black bean chicken was a bit closer to its original taste, but it tasted fishy, still very different. I think they're putting the right ingredients but the ratio of ingredients is all wrong. Not sure if the original owners sold the restaurant, but whatever the reason is for this, please fix this. Ho fun noodles go bad very quickly. It seems like the new owners don't know this because my black bean chicken ho fun noodles were rotten. Could tell the moment I put it in my mouth. Chicken was slightly rotten too.
Old review: So good. We always order takeout and portions are really big. But I always wonder why they're not on Ubereats. They're sales would liiterally 10x. I know they have their own delivery service, but it's wayyy less work to just use ubereats as a cusutoemr (no need to call, etc).
I hope they read this because I'm sure there are others like me who would order from them way more if they did that. Your food is too good to not be easily...
