DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION OR PIZZA PIZZA IN GENERAL! This was, by far, the worst experience/customer service experience I've ever had with any restaurant/corporation. If I could give my experience zero stars, I would.
I made an order around 9:31 p.m., and asked the delivery driver to call when they arrived at our condo lobby, so that my boyfriend or I could go downstairs to meet them. We received a call from the delivery driver around 10:07 p.m., and so my boyfriend went downstairs right away. The delivery driver was no where to be found, and our front desk security was able to confirm that no one had entered the lobby. My boyfriend called Pizza Pizza's customer service line, and was asked to wait/be put on hold so that they could make contact with the delivery driver, which he did, patiently. He was advised that the delivery driver was there, but he was not. My boyfriend even walked around the building and to and the building next door, just in case the delivery driver was there, but there was no sign of him. The customer service representative kept putting my boyfriend on hold, and kept advising him that the driver was there, and had even talked to the front desk security (who, by the way, confirmed that he had not). My boyfriend advised the customer service representative that we were still willing to pay, but would just like our order. He asked if another order could be sent and/or whether we could be credited for the inconvenience. He was told that this was not possible. He asked to be transferred to a supervisor, and was transferred to one named Simrit. Simrit was very rude, and again, advised that NOTHING could be done. After 45 minutes of waiting in the lobby and being on the phone with customer service, my boyfriend came upstairs. This was around 11:00 p.m. He was hung up on and never received a call back.
I proceeded to contact Pizza Pizza's online customer service chat at 11:00 p.m. I was connected with Hammad. I wasted 25 minutes of my time speaking with him. I explained the situation, and we were given the same answer, that they could not do anything. They could not send a new order, they could not offer a credit, nothing. Like during the phone chat that my boyfriend had had with another representative, he constantly left to go "check" details. He then had the audacity to tell me that the driver had attempted delivery and that we were not there. One, we had no reason to lie about a damn pizza order and, two, what happened to the customer is always right? The delivery driver and/or location lied about coming. Plain and simple. Hammad eventually told me that he could make another order for another location, but that we would have to pay AND go pick it up. He told me that the location that we had ordered from was closed, even though their website indicates that it is open until 2:00 a.m. Another lie.
All that to say, we did not receive our order, and were not provided with anything for the terrible service. Thank goodness we were going to pay at the door, because getting a refund would have clearly been a headache. The funny thing is, that even though he was extremely late, we were still willing to pay the delivery driver for the order and offer him a tip.
We were advised by our front desk that this is a common problem with Pizza Pizza. That orders will "mysteriously" disappear and that customer service does nothing to resolve the issue. I am just floored at the poor customer service that a big corporation like Pizza Pizza offers. I've had way better service from other restaurants, who know how to treat their customers. Clearly, Pizza Pizza does not.
And to this particular location: I'm not sure what happened on your end, but I can tell you that no order arrived here. The driver did not come, and whomever was communicating with Pizza Pizza's head office/customer service was lying to the representatives. This was one of your employees. This is not a good look for you. At this point, we do not want anything from you. We will not be ordering from Pizza...
Read moreNEVER BUY PIZZA FROM THE RANA THE OWNER - Even lower than a one star rating if google allowed that.Make sure to read the second paragraph. What an absolute horrible experience with this location. Ever since it opened I used this location due to its proximity to my home however my latest experience will never bring me back, in fact I have not purchased any products from Pizza Pizza in general because of this location and the follow up customer service I requested from the general Pizza Pizza help line.
My father went into to simply pick up and order I assisted him in completing online, upon heading to the store to pick it up the owner refused to give him the order due to lack of information - despite telling the owner the name the order it was on, the address on file, and exactly the was on the pizza and the cans of pop selected, the owner refused to let it go as the account online was under my name. He told my dad he could not call me and verify and he must either come back with more details or have me come in. I called the general help line and found out that proper protocol states that you call the account holder for any order disputes which of course the owner did not do. I told the pizza pizza representative that it doesn't make sense of my dad to have to now drive a second time to pizza pizza for something that was not our mistake. His reply? Simply...they would reheat the pizza and ensure it was okay for him to pick it up (this after spending 30 minutes on the drive home from work telling them about the situation). I asked can they simply waive the $3.00 delivery fee to bring the order home so my dad would not have to go back out, their response? " Sorry we cannot do that, we can refund the purchase if you like" - What a horrible and inefficient business practice, rather allow the consumer to refund a $20+ order then provide waiving a $3.00 delivery fee to keep the order intact and reverse their mistake.
Wait....it gets better! I went to the store personally to speak to the owner as my dad told me how rude, and aggressive they were in asking him to leave the store. Upon speaking to Rana (the owner) he told me that you father came in and did not know your name and anything about the order, I could not fathom how it was possible that my own father does not know my name and furthermore does not know the toppings which in fact he told me to put on it...Rana was extremely rude talking to me and said word for word "your dad gives me the name and asks to check, we have 20 orders a day sometimes the same name and people try and take other peoples pizza' although i am fixing many of his grammatical errors, i'm sure you get the point. All of a sudden now my dad knew my name but he viewed it as a fraud attempt. I asked him why he didn't call the number on the order and he said 'NO! I don't do that!" and walked away from me....the customer.
I would appreciate a response that is not generic like all the ones I see thus far, I have already put an official complaint in and have not heard back since. Poor customer service standards...
Read moreThis was the only location for pizza close to me. Haven’t had Pizza Pizza in years but this location, whoever made it around 9:30pm did amazing! I eat pizza all the time but this was made proper. Enough Char and crisp, handled my extra sauce request properly and for the first time 0 complaints from me. Price to flavour was hands down one of the best I’ve had from Pizza Pizza. I did have it fresh out the oven so that makes a big difference.
Update : still my favourite location lol. Second picture tonight was a large with chili flakes, Italian seasoning, extra sauce and olive oil, regular dough. I went back and told the pizza maker how well he did. I know the 3 pizza makers who do it well but still haven’t learned their names. I apologize. I do so many pizza reviews and this is by far the best Pizza Pizza location. I love it here! They are underrated in my opinion.
Another item I absolutely love is their panzerotti’s. They are massive, cheesy and super delicious. I always get it oven baked as it’s a much healthier cook. The fried version is superior in taste but I only get it once in a while as it’s a very heavy feeling after. Plain cheese and sauce is my go to or the Super. If you eat it fresh the cheese pull is awesome. You can see the cheese pull marks on the box of the photo below 😆. I always recommend trying different styles of lightly done, regular and well done. Free seasonings are definitely worth a try as well. Also extra sauce is a game changer in my opinion.
Also I always check my pizza in the car to make sure everything is A OK. Never had a problem here thus far. You honestly just need to know how to order and request properly like any other establishment.
My reviews are always based on price/quantity/quality and...
