On November 13th 2019, it was a Wednesday at 7:50 pm as I arrived into the snow packed lot and came across pizza pop. As I walked into the doors with Abdul and Ryan I got the overwhelming smell of cheese and oil. I was greeted by a lady who asked what I want. I noticed they had medium options for the pizza and I was not so hungry as I imagined previously so I aqquired the medium option with cheese. I was asked to pay $8.00 Canadian currency and was asked politely to sit and wait. I waited in the stiff booth with many uber eats drivers rubbing against me and walking past me and was told my pizza was ready after 13 minutes and 45 seconds. I opened the pizza box to a cheese pizza and was hit with a wiff of what reminded me of a early dominos pizza clone rendition. I sank my teeth into the first slice and was greeted with a thin crust that had air yet crunchy tones and a cheese that had no strong noticeable tones or flavours. The sauce was extemely light to the point where it was not noticeable or dry on sections of the pie. I was overly concerned about the fact that my pizza tasted like naan bread and not crust. Overall I'd say that this pizza place will not be a revisit for me and I was somewhat disappointed but happy that I only had to spend a grand total of $8.00 plus $1.00 for my nestea. At least they had nestea.
All in all, 5 stars because they are grinding...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying Pizza Pop in Mississauga, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and excellent customer service. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making me feel right at home.
Now, let's talk about the pizza. It was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I could tell that they used high-quality ingredients in their pizzas, and it really made a difference in the taste. The classic pepperoni pizza was my favorite, but they also had a wide variety of other options to choose from, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
In addition to their amazing pizza, Pizza Pop also offers a variety of sides and appetizers. I tried their garlic bread and it was the perfect combination of crispy and garlicky, just how I like it. And to top it all off, they have a great selection of drinks to choose from, including soda and beer.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Pizza Pop in Mississauga. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I will definitely be returning soon, and I highly recommend this pizza joint to anyone in the area looking for...
Read moreI had the chicken tandoori pizza and honestly it wasn't how I expected it. I've had a few chicken tandoori pizzas to get a reference of what I'd expect but it was way different than others i.e. Manny's. The pizza has a whole is thin crust, the pizza sauce base is interesting, it tastes like the Primo sauce that comes outta the can at the store (from homemade pizza experience) and that's not for everyone, it's a love/hate relationship. The pizza sauce has a texture of a less than smooth consistently, again not a pro or con, but an observation. The chicken tandoori itself was interesting, yes they didn't cheap out, but flavourful was lacking. The difference i noticed here is that they use the masala of the tandoori chicken and add it to the base of the pizza I believe whereas Manny's uses dry tandoori chicken and does not incorporate the masala curry. It isn't chewy, they cut really thin scraps (like a shawarma) of the chicken and do go 'all-out' on covering your pizza. It's more charred than what you'd expect from a chicken tandoori, but the flavour didn't really standout. All in all, it was an ok pizza, usually that comfort food just to fill your tummy but I wouldn't exactly order this if I had to call guests over...
