I went to said establishment today ,2 ladies were at the front counter. I got lukewarm eye contact .. not even a good afternoon . They were busy with the cash register for whatever reason I was there with my mother, wanted to treat her to something cool and tasty for the afternoon. We looked at the menu at the front walked to the back and looked at the ice cream in the freezers. The two ladies continued to act like we were not even in the store, they continued looking for supplies, not once did they ask how can I help you, have you decided what you would like? After waiting for them to find gloves, and what other items they were looking for, I decided to leave the store, placed my mother in the car and went back inside to speak to the young ladies about their lack of professionalism
At that point I was told we’re not even opened. Our sign is not even on. They sang ,then why is the door unlocked ? business hours are from 1pm -11pm..?
A simple we have just open give us a moment we need to get the system set up and I’ll be more than happy to help you when we’re done, in the meantime, take a look around.. in my working days you were at work 10 minutes prior or earlier to your start of shift to get things organized and..you were ready to receive customers at your schedule start time.. not trying to figure things out at 1:10 after opening.. the continued narrative from these two young women was the fact that we were extremely busy looking for the items that we needed to be bothered to focus on a paying customer..
hope the owner does see this particular review and consider streamlining the customer service process with their employees..
I’ve been to other establishments, and no matter how busy they have been have always acknowledge, and said I will be with you...
Read moreMy dad always modified the quote about life giving lemons - "when life gives you lemons, swap them out for a plate of gulab jamun!" Following his advice literally, I went down to Rock N Roll Ice Creams (5985 Rodeo Dr Unit 9A, Mississauga, ON L5R 3V6). Specializing in rolled ice creams, this bubbly eatery is perhaps best known for its heavenly desi dessert flavors! With a variety of options spread out, I tried the fruit-flavored (lychee twist, strawberry cheesecake, mango tango) ice creams first. Utterly refreshing, they made for great palate cleansers before I tried the chocolate ice cream. Loaded with sweet goodness, the ice cream was a rich, velvety delight. The paan on the pan was even better - with the betel leaf flavors shining through, the ice cream was great to freshen up for an evening of foodie adventures! Finally, I just had to try the gulab jamun ice cream. A heavenly confection dripping with the flavors of saffron syrup and rose essence, the rolled ice cream melted in my mouth leaving behind a terrific after-taste. The luscious ice creams were paired with insightful workshops from Reciclar Factory that demonstrated their stunning repurposed soy candles, Svarasya's Ancient Self-Care leading an Ayurvedic skincare demo and Firebat Coffee Roasters giving the opportunity to try their direct trade specialty coffee beans. Should you find yourself in Mississauga craving dessert, Rock N Roll should be your go-to - with a collection of flavors that you are bound to relish, you won't be disappointed here! Highly recommended!

Read moreRecently tried the Heartland location of Rock n Roll ice cream. I previously tried them in Brampton a long time ago, but was excited to have it again after so long. I love that there's a good variety of flavors to choose from, with the option for a "healthier" treat with their low calorie options. They've also got vegan options. Additionally, it was nice to see that they've got drinks on the menu too and kawartha ice cream for those who prefer regular ice cream over the rolled ice creams.
I tried several flavors, including tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, Ferrero rocher, kesar barfi. My personal favourite was their brand new Dubai Chocolate Kunafa. I prefer the Dubai rolled ice cream over the drink and I love that their Dubai chocolate is made in-house.
The interiors is nicely decorated too with pink, green and a nice black and white accent wall. Would definitely come back and it's the perfect spot to grab a treat especially to beat the heat this summer. Their prices are quite...
