This is the best Jamaican Restaurant in GTA by a mile in terms of quality, authenticity and price. I have been coming here for more than 15 years both for take-out and catering for my office parties or my end of year celebration for my running group and the feedback is always same; this is the best Jerk Chicken, the best Oxtail, the best fish or even the best rice and peas. I have also brought people here from Jamaica and they all agreed that this is very good authentic Jamaican food, especially the curried goat. Now that I have gone vegan, you have to try the curried chickpeas (Channa). The right mix of spices and the best curry that that make the curried goat a fan favourite. However, you don't need to believe me, just go and try for yourself. You wont be disappointed. Due to covid restrictions we decided at the last minute to have a small backyard celebration for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend. I called Viv just a few days before, and she was able to provide an amazing feast for us. We had curry goat, jerk chicken, coconut shrimp, fish fritters, plantains, rice and peas, tilapia filets, and a beautiful fruit platter. We also had two types of dumplings, stuffed with callaloo and ackee/saltfish - every single dish was out-of-this-world delicious. The flavors were rich and savory, some of the BEST food I've had in a long time. Even the pickiest among us commented "this food is incredible". I found Viv's Catering through the positive online reviews and it was the BEST decision! During a difficult time to arrange a funeral repast, Vivienne was a delight to work with. She and her staff are incredibly professional, thoughtful and courteous. And, of course, the food was amazing. We had guests who flew in directly from Montego Bay, Jamaica, and everyone could not stop raving about the FLAVOUR -- from the curry goat, to the rum cakes with dessert!
