White Gold Sweets in Mississauga is a charming Maharashtrian food joint that caters to the cravings of Indian sweets and snacks enthusiasts. Tucked away in a cozy corner, this eatery offers a delightful array of treats, from traditional samosas to innovative fusion dishes. My love affair with White Gold began with their spicy samosas, which are undoubtedly the star of the show. Bursting with flavor and generously filled, these samosas never fail to tantalize my taste buds. Recently, I discovered their samosa pav, a delightful twist on the classic snack. The combination of crispy samosa and soft pav bun is a match made in culinary heaven, and it quickly became another favorite of mine. Whenever the craving for samosas strikes, White Gold is my first choice. Their dedication to perfecting this iconic snack shines through in every bite. However, the menu at White Gold extends beyond samosas, offering a variety of other tempting snacks. I particularly enjoyed their non-spicy samosas, which were equally delicious and packed with flavor. During my last visit, I decided to explore their menu further and ordered the daal wada. While the flavors were decent, I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the lack of crispiness. This deviation from their usual standard was a minor setback, but it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. Thankfully, the samosa pav more than made up for it with its exceptional taste and texture. Upon chatting with the owner, I was excited to learn about another enticing option – the aloo tikki burger. Eager to embark on a culinary adventure, I've already made plans to try it during my next visit. White Gold's commitment to innovation and quality shines through in their diverse menu offerings, keeping patrons like myself eager to explore new flavors. In terms of ambiance, White Gold keeps things simple yet inviting. The minimalist decor creates a clean and uncluttered space, allowing the focus to remain on the delectable food. However, it's worth noting that White Gold is primarily a takeout joint, with no seating available on-site. While this may deter those seeking a sit-down dining experience, it perfectly aligns with their focus on quick and convenient service. One aspect to keep in mind is their preferred payment methods. White Gold encourages cash or debit payments and applies a surcharge for credit card transactions. Therefore, it's advisable to come prepared with cash or a debit card to avoid any inconvenience. Overall, my experience at White Gold Sweets has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite the minor hiccup with the daal wada, the exceptional quality of their samosas and innovative menu offerings more than make up for it. I wholeheartedly give White Gold Sweets a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, with the hope that they continue to delight patrons with their delicious fare and warm hospitality.

The owners have changed from a Gujarati to Marathi family ownership. The recipes have remained the same, the prices have not. Previous owners flexible with chutney and new ones are not. The samosas, kachoris, pattice have remained the same. The potato wada seemed a bit more spicier, but enjoyed them nevertheless as I enjoy spicy food, rest of the family not so much. Dahi Poori Chaat was made without any sweet chutney, which the kids didn’t like. Took home a plastic container of the papdi which costed $5 for a packet (or was it $4?) was way too expensive. A Canadian made (rather GTA) can be gotten for $2. New items such as Biryanis and some curries and kadhi, but yet to taste them. If they added Maharashtrian delicacies (pitla, zunka bhakar, kothmir wadi etc. ) that would perhaps make them unique in GTA

Rare to find a Marathi place in Toronto so I was super excited to try some Mumbai foods. We went on Diwali so there was a 20 min line up to get in. There was complimentary Chai (tea) at the entrance so that was a pretty classy move. Their Spicy Samosas were definitely the best I’ve had in Toronto. Great texture of the patty and the filling was very flavorful. They’re also the spiciest samosas I’ve ever had. So beware, even if you’re used to spicy food. The Misal Pav was made fresh to order. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Nowhere close to what you get in Maharashtra, India. The Pav was good though. Seems like it was made fresh in house. I think their other Chaat snacks will be quite good, so I look forward to trying that in the future.

Whenever I get a craving of tasty Indian snacks, I definitely visit this place. This is a takeout food joint. All the food varieties taste amazing but it’s their “samosas” that really stands out. They prepare it in 2 types, a regular one and for spice lovers, a real spicy one. Both of them are excellent in quality. Another popular dish here is “Vada-pav” ( kinda Indian burger) which gets served with a spicy but delicious red “chutney”. Coming back to their core product i.e. sweets, all varieties are really good and balanced in ingredients especially in terms of sugar and Indian butter (desi ghee). “Kaju katli” is one of the best among all sweets. I would recommend to visit this place if you are in and around Mississauga.

Can’t say I have much knowledge of Indian snacks so I just ordered a piece of everything. The two samosas were still warm by time I got back home , while the others I just had to microwave it back up a bit . I don’t have a lot of experience with Indian snack foods, but they were quite good. The jelebi was quite good, it feels like the crystalized honey. The samosas and the other items were excellent too, and the price is super affordable . The shop itself is tucked away in the very back of a strip mall, so made finding it hard at first. Other than that not much to complain bout it
