Amour Joie Express — Restaurant in Montreal

We've been buying chicken from the store ever since they opened at their location. This is our to go to for Friday take out meal. It was tasty during the first year, but recently the fried chicken is a hefty salty specially the chicken skin, the marinade is ok but it does not taste FRESH!. I called the store to review and suggest but not criticize the food, however the daughter and Male owner was not receptive for the food review and stated that: "I am sorry, we will not change the recipe for just one order of your chicken (purchased 10 pieces), we've been cooking for 20 kgs per day". Yes I understand that somehow, we get busy and we regret for QUALITY check for store products. For now we will stop recommending the chicken store (even we want to support local business) until there will be changes or action from the store management. Thank You.

Since you've mentioned that I AM ONE OUT OF A MILLION COMPLAINER, shouldn't be you're doing some change action plan about it. I believe without my 25$ or other's money or investment/belief to the store or OWNER there will be no business. The Cook(owner) was on the background during our conversation & was very cooperative to do quality check,however You as a pseudo owner was on the way for a great customer / owner conversation. Sorry if the review was felt like an attack and CANNOT TOLERATE such customer review because it hurts one's ego. No one is asking to change recipe just quality check.Thank you recommending PFK and being so sarcastic at the same time because as an OWNER, they would never recommend they're own competitors. Just to clarify, I did not complain about your spaghetti! If you are willing to read or make up story, do it on your own. I am using my real name, should I provide you my proof of identification? This is not an attitude of a store owner, I'm sorry but once the business owner acts like this business goes to tank... I did not want any refund because as you said what is 25$. The best you can do is to do updated quality check on products since you do not want to make changes. I wish...

I was in LoveJoy Express past 5:00pm on a Wednesday. There was already a line up of clients though I was surprised that it has limited seats; I guess the word Express means to order and go. George, the husband of Joy, who are the owners pulled a table for my son and I. There are six seats only, 4 of which are stationary. People just come and order and go!

Menu Presentation is right there on the menu board, nothing fancy. I was surprised to see the prices with the amount of serving they give, it was generous! I was more than contented with the flavour of the barbecue. It was spot on, Pinoy na Pinoy!

My son was very contented with the fried chicken, it was like Jolibee. We took another order home and when we came home, the chicken was still crispy. It was more than an hour commute from Montreal to the Southshore.

We will surely go back!

Back in Paranaque, we have these barbecue places in one section of the town called Don Galo. It was a place na dindayo dahil masarap ang tapsilog at barbecue, LoveJoy reminds so much of that childhood place! Plus, with Jolibee chicken, what else can you ask for.

The lady at the cash was so helpful and polite. Mr. George, the owner was the leader of the team in the front of the house while Joy, was at the kitchen and was busy with her works. We complimented them and she smiled and waved and thanked us.

LoveJoy Express is an unassuming place, small and looks less than ordinary but the food is really really so good! The service is polite and respectful, the owners are generous in serving portion, Hindi kayo dinaya, Hindi kayo hinagad, you’ll feel you’ve been served with masarap na Pinoy food!

Well... There's a new independent restaurant in town, and they deserve to stay. Once you try their delicious extraordinary dishes like the Korean noodles with chicken or semi-sweetened spaghetti, "yes, you heard right," with fried chicken. Only then do you'll realize they're a heavy contender against the larger franchises like KFC or St. Hubert BBQ. Who would have thought a tiny restaurant could submerge your purring mouth for more and more and more... Their chicken burger with its unique taste and texture sells at a ridiculously low price, yet it is ten times better than the well-known franchises out there. Service is respectively efficient, keeping their clients smiling while awaiting their orders. Their pricing is impressive whether you are ordering for one person, a family, or a business luncheon-- and for some that do not want spaghetti or fries, you can order your pork/chicken dish with rice.
