Basha-Centre Eaton — Restaurant in Montreal

Horrible experience. The food was fine (falafel pita pretty hard to screw up) but the worker/owner was totally disrespectful and actually did something illegal. The falafel was $4.25 and I paid debit. I quickly passed my paypass without thinking clearly (a lapse in judgement clearly) and then right away noticed the amount was $5.75. When I asked the owner started lecturing me about high fees he has to pay and how he wouldn't make any money if it is less than $5. And then almost yelling at me why "kids these days" (I'm thirty and a professional!) don't carry cash. There was NO sign that said min purchase $5 nor did he mention anything when I was paying. This kind of thing is illegal. I don't mind paying a fair price for my food, or ordering enough to meet the minimum price. BUT I know it is not allowed to suddenly change the price and then claim after it is due to high fees and it is my fault for not having cash. In the same time this happened he was also making what I felt were sexually inappropriate comments and so I got really flustered and just left. Immediately after I regretted not saying something or asking for my receipt, although technically legally restaurants are required to offer it (which he did not). Alas, I have no respect for this location and am extremely disappointed. I will not be going back and if I am in the mall again I will share my experience with whoever is working at...

These guys expected 15% tips and more on the Interact machine and give me that look of deception. Tips is only given to waiters and bartenders because they are providing a service on tables. And they have exceptional knowledge how to treat customers and serve food. You guys don’t serve water on tables you don’t serve plates on tables. You take your metal spoon and you put the food in a plastic plate that’s all you do. Then your customers are heating with plastic cutlerys. These guys were also really arrogant when I forgot the plato for my friend? They try to make me feel cheap about it. And the food personally, I eat a lot better Lebanese food at home. They just didn’t know I was a chef. But the meat that was really dry, especially the beef and they mixed dried old chicken with fresh one. In my opinion, the staff is really rude and the food is not really good. The plate they gave me didn’t even look like the one on the picture. And I came there before, and I saw how they serve arabic people’s and they put a lot more food in...

Will never eat here again. First of all he tried to scam me. I ordered a trio that was 9.50 plus taxes but he charged me 11.50 with the android pay. He went quick to make me pay without giving me the time to look at the price so he asked for the receipt and I said yes...when I confronted him he was like sash yeah oops here's the change..like it took me a while to calculate it but he knew right away what money he owed me like if he did this little trick often...

The sandwich was good but the garlic sauce was off and the salad was inedible. Absolutely disgusting and I know these places are not know for their salads but I'm not even difficult and just taste horrible like sour and was out too long.

Avoid this place at all costs. It's only this location as well usually Basha is really good. Just avoid this...
