I went there and ordered two sandwiches (b3 and b6) which are chicken and beef respectively. When my orders were handed to me one was chicken and the other one was pork. I was sure that I ordered the beef and I said B6 twice as I saw that B5 was pork and I do not eat pork! When I brought this to her attention she said “but on my paper it says B5” well yes because you put the wrong one in! I spent my launch break on NOTHING technically since I don’t eat pork and I had to throw the sandwich away!
Update: She didn’t ask “how was the order or anything needs to be changed”, she just brought us a tray since she initially assumed that it’s a to go order. Also I said that I ordered B6 but it says pork on my sandwich, I don’t eat pork and I didn’t order it. Then she brought a paper saying “but my paper says B5 which is pork.” As I mentioned above, yes, it says B5 cuz you put B5 instead of B6, it doesn’t mean that I ordered pork, it means that you put the wrong order in! Then I said ok but I don’t eat pork! And she was acting awkwardly as in ok what am I supposed to do. I’m not a confrontational person so this whole interaction was super uncomfortable for me, let alone continuing this conversation and asking them to redo my order while she is acting like I did something wrong. Thanks for giving me your opinion on how I should insist on getting my order redone, maybe you can also take the codes off of your menu when it is confusing to your staff and they can mishear six and put five, or you can train them to handle this situations with more professionalism and don’t make it a customer problem while I was nothing but nice! The girl did not have an attitude and she was even nice at first, it’s just the way that she made the situation super awkward and I felt very uncomfortable to not be able to get what I asked for while I was just on my lunch break...

If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, or just someone who often craves a seriously good sandwich, you MUST check out Café Viet Épicerie. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the city of Montreal, this unassuming spot serves up some of the best banh mis I’ve ever had.
The bread is everything it should be: warm, crisp on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Each bite gives that perfect crunch without shredding the roof of your mouth (if you know, you know). The fillings are very generous and incredibly flavorful. I tried the classic pork banh mi, which was recommended by the owner, and his thoughtful suggestion did not disappoint.
One of the best parts? The owner is incredibly kind and generous. You can tell they take pride in the food they make, which adds a personal touch to every order and makes an overall 5 star experience. This place made an appearance at my school and raised a fundraiser for a student non-profit organization, raising funds for lifesaving surgery for children born with congenital heart disease in developing countries.
A great sandwich with a big heart behind it, what more could you anyone ask for?

Read moreAfter hearing about their recent opening, my sister and I went to grab a bite. The interior was pretty and they have many available seats if you want to dine there.
The service was a bit slow but the staff was welcoming. We had a few questions and asked for recommendations, and the cashier answered diligently and was sweet.
We ended up ordering a Char Siu and Grilled Pork Banh Mi with a Vietnamese coffee. The sandwiches were good and the coffee was a bit too sweet for my liking but still enjoyable.
Overall, our experience there was great and the prices are affordable. We’re definitely planning on coming back to taste the other sandwiches...
