A really great Filipino fusion experience! My girlfriend and I went for brunch and we were sat on the terrace in the back, it was the perfect weather for the occasion too. It was a really nice ambiance with hiphop music playing in the background, with a charming decor and quite intimate atmosphere as we were the only customers sat there. The staff is super friendly and helpful, food came out pretty fast too. No complaints about the service. As for the food, we ordered the lechon and waffles, the tocino and the taho dessert. The lechon's skin had a very nice crisp to it and very meaty, but not as greasy as I'm used to. Lechon is lechon, I just can't hate it, no matter how it's prepared. The waffles on the other hand were great as well, very bouncy and light, with a texture that ressembles that of a cake. I believe their waffle mix had some hints of coconut in it, which was surprising and at the same time not a bad idea. The salad that came with the dish was also surprisingly fantastic, I loved the sauce, I believe it was some kind of peanut vinaigrette. The tocino was recommended by our very friendly waitress, which was in my opinion the best of the two main dishes we ordered. The marinated pork was a nice surprise, a little sweet, on top of a bed of garlic rice to help cut down on the sweetness of the pork, paired with a papaya salad and a fried egg. Very simple dish, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. The taho is the perfect dessert for people who have a sweet tooth and are feeling a little adventurous, as it is a little exotic and not necessarily a very commonly seen dessert if you're not well accustomed to Asian cultures. It's basically tofu that has a consistency similar to that of Jello, that has been drowned in melted sugar, garnished with tapioca balls and I believe some blueberries were also used in the making of the sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant and for sure will be back sometime in the future.

Calamari: Dough comes out crunchy, but doesn't stay crunchy long and falls off the squid easily. I don'r know what the saucenis but it was very good with the dish. Spicy mango salad: the mango was crunchy, there was some tartness but it was pretty sweet. It was just enough spice. I personally prefer a mildly saltier mango salad, but overall it's still a good dish. Lechon: this was disappointing for me in terms of crispiness. The pictures online show promising crispy pork skin, but that not what it was served at all. The pork meat however was very tender and well seasoned. Filipino spaghetti: this dish is know to have a sweeter taste. However, it was so salty and thr sausages didn't help that. The only way to balance the salt out was to eat the spaghetti with the extra bland fried chicken. The breading of the chicken lacked crispyness. Buto buto: pork ribs (8 ribs in total) marinated in a quite salty and mildly sweet sauce. Eating it alone is a bit much but eating it with the rice makes it absolutely perfect. The meat is super tender and falls of the bone, and although it looks burnt, this actually provides the right amount of char/smokey flavor. Bisteak: hanger steak in too sweet marinade. The fact that it was cooked rare made it tender but it was stinky to eat for me. The chimichurri brought little to the dish, I mostly tasted the onions. Not bad tho. I would come back for the buto buto and to try other dishes (particularly the pancit). Despite my comments, the food was good, it's just that I prefer savory over sweet. Honestly, for 6 dishes, divided between 4 people it was very very affordable. I highly recommend this place.

I decided to edit my review because I find a little bit harsh considering the owner was very nice and took time to have a little chat with me that night and also tried to request servings that match our needs. Also the cook was nice enough to re-cook the bistek we ordered because they did it medium rare without asking us anyway. The service was nice although we needed to ask several times for spoons and the plates given were not enough for us. I just couldn't hide my disappointment at first because I was excited to eat Filipino food and with its name "Junior Filipino" I was really expecting to taste something really Filipino but again, there were tastes they added on these food that "to me" made it lose the Filipino authenticity of the food. There were also very few food options to choose from because they say these things are seasonal. No kare-kare, no Sinigang, also no halo-halo on winters (although other restaurants serve this even winter). We ordered lechon kawali, sisig, onglet, and a salad that tasted barbecue -wi (my husband liked this).. Overall, the sisg was the most acceptable of the food we ordered, but still, I wasn't that much impressed about the food. The place is a bit cozy because of the lights but not so much because it's a bit small for our family of five. They didn't have bigger table for us. When you come to this place, people are nice just don't expect that the food would really taste like Filipino food and don't expect to see all the food you see on their page because there were just really few choices when we came and they say their food are seasonal.

I usually try not to put bad reviews for filipino resto as much as possible but I could not let it pass this time.

A group of us, 3 families with kids went to have dinner at this restaurant. We were seated at the back porch, 2 tables- one table for kids and one for adults. Service was very poor from the beginning. We tried to order for our kids twice.. twice but the waitress kept on stopping me, saying "Order is per table, 'll get their order". I tried to order again as I know what my kids want but waitress kept stopping me for the same reason until she took the order as it was taking long for her to get the kids orders.

Then after 15 mins or so, our appetizers came (adults table) and so the kids waited for their orders. Other customers came and were served...with the same orders that we had but ours never came. We waited and waited, reminded the waitress but the answer we always get is , "Because you ordered appetizer that's why it takes time for your other orders to come as we don't have enough manpower". For multiple times we asked, we were told the same reason as if we are being blamed for ordering appetizers. We expressed our concern that we worry about our kids as it's so late already, if they can just serve the kids food first but still we continued waiting. My son experienced headache due to hunger and had nosebleed as the outside temperature dropped with some light rain. For almost 2 hours we waited for our food. We were there 8pm and we ate around 10pm. While others was served with their orders, we waited for hours.

When the food came, we were appeased a bit but then the waitress came back and stated, " I gave the bicol express to your table, it should be in the kids table so your Pinakbet order should be given to the kids table". She said it without remorse as if it was our fault that she put it on our table.

I mean, the whole experience was just horrible and unimaginable. I could not believe the customer service of this resto. Even if the chef came to apologize, the damage has been done. It was too unforgettable to disregard. Anyways, we could have walked out but it was too late as we kept giving them a chance and everytime, it just fails.

Would not come back nor recommend....

Service is poor. We came in without reservation and the restaurant is somewhat full. The only place available was at the bar section. I got in, and asked if there are empty tables, the waitress (taller young lady with curly hair) mentioned they are full. She offered the bar section but I refused since I was with someone. If I was alone, I would have taken that spot without a problem. As I exited, I saw a table for two almost finishing... so after few minutes of waiting outside, I went back in and asked if that table ( I pointed it out) will be free at any moment. She said, yes, it may be free in few minutes. Since it is a very cold morning, and made up our mind to eat at Junior's, my companion and I decided to wait for few more minutes.

After waiting for few more minutes, we were finally seated, and the waitress left! She left without giving us the menu. So we waited for few minutes again, but when I saw these two young ladies dancing in the kitchen and talking while we are waiting for our menu, I raised my hand to grab the attention of one of them. She basically apologized when we were left hanging for more than 10mins without the menu. Then, waited again for few more minutes for our food. After we finished our meal, it took awhile for one of them to get our plate. Although, once has already been to the table next to us serving their dessert. I stood up, to put my jacket and finally got the attention of one of the waiters.

There is a clear lack of attention to the details on the part of the servers. The restaurant most likely had less than 20 people and these two ladies are not able to manage. They don't communicate to one another. The service is poor, although they are friendly, it was rather lousy.

The food is okay, not something that I would recommend to a Filipino. Very typical, not extraordinary....
