My husband and I came here on a Thursday night, as it's just up the street from our hotel. The atmosphere is laid back and chill. Jazz music is just at the right volume, which was very good, as we could still have a conversation. Food was nothing short of exceptional! Here's what we ordered: Apps: Escargot Shrimp in lemon and garlic sauce Mains: Fettuccine Alfredo Beef lasagna Dessert: Tiramisu Everything tasted really delicious! The escargot had the right texture. The shrimp in lemon and garlic sauce came with bread. We used the bread to eat the sauce. 😋 The fettuccine alfredo was very creamy and did not need any protein/meat. The lasagna had the perfect combo of acidic and sweet taste. Portions were perfect too - not too much and not too little. We capped off the night with a slice of their tiramisu. It was super creamy, no artificial flavour. I'd go back there just for the tiramisu! Overall, it was a positive experience and the owner made sure to go to each table to have a chat with the patrons. You definitely get your money's worth. Definitely highly recommended and expect us to drop Oby the next time we're in Montreal.

Do not recommend. The server did not understand what we asked. I wanted a smaller portion of the calamari because I didn’t want to spend $23 as I was not hungry and we were out for my boyfriend to have dinner. He said yes there is a half portion. When I got the bill it was the same one I was pointing at and same price. My boyfriend asked if they have a pasta with white sauce and fruit de mer. He brought him out a basic pasta with no seafood. Then he said he didn’t hear him say seafood which was the exact reason he was asking if he had a white sauce with seafood. When the new pasta came the seafood was not fully cooked and the food was bland. Not happy to have spent 80 on this meal. You can get really good food in Montreal for half the price. Also we sat near the entrance and it smelled like feet, which was unpleasant during the meal but could have been overlooked if the food was good.

Huh... wow. Where do I start? With the varied set price dinner options or the Ă  la carte menu? If you enjoy italian dishes, you won't be disappointed.

While this is not an Italian steakhouse, you will find great meat, fish and seafood dishes alongside the vegetarian options. Yes, you will find the classic dishes, but rediscover their flavor as they were intended to be. The starters include a limited choice of classic soups (a stracchiatella generous with eggs and a minestrone) as well as a variety of appetizers. The vongole pasta comes in two sauces (white wine or tomato based) and the manicotti were stuffed with a satisfying mix of cheese and spinach, and with just the right amount of sauce (ie, not swimming in sauce nor dry!) They have a nice enough wine list - accommodating both a variety of and prices.

While they have a limited dessert selection, everyone enjoyed their choice (although the tiramisĂč was a little dry and lacked a touch of mascarpone). The pot de chocolat transported me back to that little place in Paris where I enjoyed finishing my meals with that wonderful, creamy delicacy.

The experienced crew is attentive to guests and willing to help you enjoy your meal. We will be back to try out other items...
