A Culinary Gem in Montreal – Sushi Rosa

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Rosa, located at 1231 Rue Drummond in downtown Montreal, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Having spent considerable time in Asia for business, I can confidently say that Sushi Rosa delivers an authentic and exceptional sushi experience that rivals the best.

The addition of a friendly robot server added a delightful and modern twist to the dining experience, showcasing the restaurant's innovative spirit.

Exquisite Cuisine

The sushi was nothing short of extraordinary. Each piece was crafted with precision, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients that melted in my mouth. The presentation was artful, with vibrant colors and elegant garnishes that made each dish a visual delight. Notably, the sushi pizza offered a unique and flavorful twist that left a lasting impression.

Sushi Rosa is a top-notch sushi restaurant located in Montreal, that truly stands out from the rest. From the moment you step into the sleek and modern establishment, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a delightful dining experience.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Sushi Rosa was the exceptional quality of their sushi. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the attention to detail in the preparation and presentation is truly remarkable. The menu boasts a wide variety of traditional sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies that are sure to satisfy any sushi lover's cravings. The chef's special rolls are particularly noteworthy, featuring unique combinations of flavors and textures that are both innovative and delicious.

In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Sushi Rosa is truly outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always willing to offer recommendations and make suggestions to enhance your dining experience. The attention to detail extends beyond the food and service, with the restaurant's impeccable cleanliness and attention to hygiene.

I was a little skeptical that a restaurant would be able to keep a 5 star rating, but this restaurant was really nice. Coming in, there is a small amount of tables which gives the place a really nice modern spacious atmosphere with beautiful light decorations. The menu is really big and it's hard to choose what to order since the prices look high, but the bill at the end was very reasonable and much cheaper than all-you-can-eat sushi places while leaving you as full. To order, the waitress gave us a piece of paper and we would write down the number of the orders ourselves. The wait was long which made me doubt whether it was a good idea to come (there was only one person preparing the sushi). However, the sushi arrived and it looked AMAZING. The presentation we received was stunning. It was a big wooden board with stunning decoration on the side (we had a bird, some colorful balls with candles in them and some kind of green leafy vegetable) and all the sushi that we ordered was placed in an organized fashion with an extra 6 spoons containing some kind of food item which I don't know what it was, but tasted fine. The sushi tasted good and seemed fresh. Only problem with them is they can easily break apart if you're not careful with the chopsticks. In the end, I was happy with my experience at Sushi Rosa. I would recommend this place if you have time and are able to wait a long time for your meal, but the meal is worth it and comes with a really great atmosphere and...

This place literally blew me and my sister away. We just wanted to find a decent affordable sushi place on a Thursday evening, and we found THE GEM. EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS JUST A PERFECTION. It's definitely my new favorite sushi spots in Montreal. I eat sushi pretty regularly in Asia, and it has been difficult to find sushi restaurants in Quebec that meet my standard. Despite this, the futomaki and riceless roll were honestly some of the best I’ve had (and I've had many before in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan). I could appreciate the every single bite instead of just indulging the meal, which is not what I would expect to experience in such price range. Both the delicate texture and the complex flavor profile were completely beyond my expectation. And the chef’s specialty menu (the Dragon Dynamite), which was served at the end, was a literal chef's kiss as the name promised. The plating was top notch as well. I also tried the shrimp tempura and I can’t recommend it enough for its crispiness. The wasabi seemed to have been diluted to fit the Montreal's spice tolerance, which was surprisingly pleasant to my taste. It was enough to bring out the wasabi's fresh flavors without being stinging. On top of that, the staff were super friendly and the place itself is really cute with a great vibe. I’m already planning my next visit in a few days.
