Treating myself to pecan or sugar pie and pistachio ice cream is a delight. The diverse apples, fruits, and veggies are consistently fresh and premium. I used to be a very regular customer at Maître for years and years. I loved this neighbourhood spot for its exceptional quality and variety of meats, seafood & imported goods. However, ever since the store entered new management, and the owner left the business to his son, I have found that a once wonderful family-owned business is now a place I never plan to return to.

The new owner is arrogant, has drastically increased the prices of goods, all while decreasing the quality (particularly in fruits & vegetables).

I hope the management team seriously considers going back to their old business model. Your customers are intelligent people who have noticed these deceitful shortcuts. Trust me, I know others who feel...
