Typhoon Lounge — Restaurant in Montreal

I’ve been to many bars and lounges and my experience at this one was by far the absolute worst. I went for drinks with a friend after work & we got some appetizers, calamari’s and chicken wings to be specific. The calamari was alright but the chicken wings were absolutely disgusting. I had one and my friend had 2 but we quite literally could not stomach it. We asked the waiter if we can switch the chicken wings to something else but he said no. We said that is perfectly fine and understandable but that we just would not eat the rest of the chicken wings. We had 3 chicken wings in total and we sent them back. We ordered a round of shots, two rounds of drinks and the calamari. When the bill came the chicken wings were still on them, we asked why the chicken wings were still on the bill when we only had 3. The waiter became very disrespectful and we asked to speak to the manager, the manager came out with a very aggressive and disrespectful energy and basically refused to remove the chicken wings from the bill. They eventually took them off the bill after a lot of back and forth, once we paid the manager told us that we were banned from coming back. My friend and I have no interest of ever going back but it was so unprofessional it took us off guard. The waiter and the manager that day definitely need mandatory training on proper costumer service because that was a terrible experience.

We ate 3 wings , if that is half the order for 1 pound of wings then you guys need to reevaluate your portions seeing as the wings are very small. Furthermore, we never used such profanity in the restaurant. We were met with disrespect and responded accordingly. Lastly, we did tip what we felt...

"I got chased by a rhinoceros, I got punched so hard at tomorrow land that my nose started bleeding everywhere on stage, I believe in leprechauns" I'm screaming this at the top of my lungs because there's pretty much no one else in the bar except for 30+ students that just preformed a spectacular show. I officially graduated with a bachelors degree in human relations! I got parking right in front of the bar. Finished performing the best play of my life and celebrated with my awesome classmates. I "WOOHOO" all I wanted and screamed playing two truths and a lie.

We got a few rounds of drinks. My first drink was the typhoon Lagoon, sweet but completely virgin didn't taste a single drop of liquor. I also tried the raspberry buzz, it was too bubbly and lacked taste. I even took a breathalyzer test and after a drink and two shots I was only at 0.01. I also ordered the volcano burger with half fries and salad. It was decent but nothing I need to come back here for. Very basic burger with hot peppers and cheese on the center, didn't have tomatoes or lettuce in the middle to add a hint of freshness. Then again it's bar food what was I expecting.

Cocktails and sangria were about $8-9 per glass. Shots were about $40-$45 for 15 shots. Service was sweet and she was able to tend to such a big and rowdy group so good for the waitress. They played some throwbacks which I always appreciate and the ambiance is very relax but fun. Overall decent place but I will not be returning unless my classmates are there playing two...

We went to this restaurant tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. From the moment we arrived, the experience was unpleasant. The waitress greeted us very rudely, saying that if we had a child, we couldn’t sit inside — even though we had already planned to sit outside. Her tone was unprofessional and unfriendly.

The food was shockingly bad. The calamari was undercooked and had a strong, unpleasant oily taste, clearly made using overused oil. When our main dishes arrived, we were even more shocked — the French fries were burnt and tasted awful, and the burger had a strange and unpleasant smell. We complained about the fries, and while they brought us a new portion, it was still terrible — extremely greasy and hard to eat. The only difference was that this batch wasn’t burnt.

The food was so bad, and the overall experience was so disappointing, that we immediately canceled the birthday cake we had ordered. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible. We wasted our money and time, and most importantly, my husband's birthday was completely ruined.

We will never return to this place, and we don’t recommend...
