Meltdown Montréal — Restaurant in Montreal

Edit: I’ve been going regularly again after writing this review. I still recommend it 100%! My favourite place in Montreal! I haven’t been since the recent renovations but I’m excited to see them.

Lovely place for dates when there isn’t too many guests. The drinks here are really good and at a fair price, I especially enjoy getting their shots. The gaming experience honestly depends on the day, hit or miss depending on whether the PCs are taken. The staff is great, the bathroom is really clean and smells wonderful. You can bring your own food, which is a 10/10 in my book. There isn’t much actual food options so I’m thankful for that.

My only complaint is that lately, my partner and I have been going to the bar at their opening time, but despite waiting for 20 minutes, no one came to open the bar. We found it really strange since it was not on a holiday nor did the website or Google maps page indicate that it was closed or that the hours have changed. We had a couple of these days, so we stopped going ever since. It’s quite far from where we live, and used to be our favourite date spot, so it was a bit disappointing. If you need a cool place to drink and hang out with your friends, this is the spot! Amazing and friendly staff and owner, delicious drinks, great atmosphere and so much to do! From the consoles set up in the bar to play to the PCs in the back or even watching some awesome streams on the TVs, this is my new favorite hang out.

On Saturday, February 18th, 2023 my friends and I stopped by to have a few drinks while waiting on the cosplayers from the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational to show up and once we got there we didn’t want to leave! The staff even put our favorite game (r6 siege) on the TVs for us to keep enjoying while we drank. The owner and 2 other staff members came into work to help the poor bartender who had been overrun by our crazy group of people !

Attention all introverted extraverts, this bar is for you! This bar is absolutely amazing! Every single drink I have had on my multiple visits have been more than delicious! The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, The games they have are fun, they have a section in the back for PC gamers and consoles a bit everywhere in their bar. This place is the first video game bar I have been to, but not the first game-type bar I have been to and they are the only ones who do not charge any entrance fee.
