Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Montreal

Unfortunately had a terrible experience with this location. Had a long morning, lost and wandering around campus with my brothers. We were hungry, and kept seeing Osmow's bags being carried around. So we decided to walk from McGill campus to Osmow's (18 minute walk).

I ordered a medium chicken shawarma poutine with garlic sauce and hot sauce (X shape mark). Roughly 15 minutes later, we receive the food and leave to eat somewhere else due to no space inside, which is understandable since it's a small location in the middle of a campus. We get to a building, and as I open the box, my heart sank. What I saw was pure dread and horror. What sat a head of me seemed to have been the making of a toddler.

Garlic sauce unevenly smeared around, tiny pieces of chicken unevenly spread. The ratio of meat to fry was uncanny. Almost seemed as if a bomb went off inside. Forgot to mention there was no hot sauce like I specifically told the guy to at least 4 times. I honestly did not care cuz I didn't eat the entire day. As I dug in further, I found a piece of lettuce and many grains of rice inside my box, like how do you do such mistake?? Had to finish it cuz we paid 15 bucks for it and I was starving. I later felt nauseous and lost my appetite throughout the entire day. My brothers also had a disaster awaiting them in their box, I just had it worse. Actually one decided to order from Poulet Rouge and his box was out of this world (100 times better than ours from Osmow's)

We usually eat from the Cornwall Ontario location, a bigger location. We had little to no issue there, just minor mistakes which were later resolved. The food there is incomparable, they actually make the food the way I see it in the display screen. The Cornwall location seems to work much better even under pressure, whereas the small location in Montreal fails to come close to that of Cornwall location. Now I wouldn't be surprised if I ordered in Montreal's location and opened the box only to find a piece of dookie awaiting me. That's how low of an expectation I have for that location, I should've gone to Poulet Rouge or Boustan that...

Update: 22nd August 2024 order placed 11:25 pm I have ordered a Poulet Shawarma Moitie-Moitie with pita croutons it was cold and bad condition The Pita Croutons were soft and soaked. The chicken and fries were cold as hell. Does feel fresh at all. Not at all satisfied. I paid 21$ for it not even worth a penny it used to be 15$ with tax and was good in taste

Old Review: I initially ordered the Chicken Half & Half from Osmow's and really enjoyed it. However, my subsequent experiences have been extremely disappointing.

Over time, both the quality and quantity of the food have significantly decreased. The Chicken Half & Half, which should include rice, fries, and chicken, often arrives with just rice and pita croutons, with the chicken missing entirely. This has happened multiple times, and it's deeply frustrating.

Additionally, my orders from Osmow's frequently get stolen or take more than 90 minutes to arrive. This issue seems specific to orders from Osmow's, raising concerns about their staff's attention to detail and care in handling orders. It’s disheartening to think that my orders are being mishandled or not properly verified.

These consistent problems have left a very negative impression on me. I didn't want to report this and put Osmow's in a bad position, but someone has to speak up.

This review is purely from my perspective as a deeply disappointed customer. The food used to be great, and I loved it, but not anymore. I even tweeted to Osmow's on X (formerly Twitter) about these issues, but I never received a response. This entire experience has been very hurtful and...

Food is excellent, I was pretty much eating at osmows everyday and they all know me at the restaurant but got a really really bad experience today. As always I order online for pick up but today when I ordered and paid they did not receive my order. There were no manager to handle the situation, one new tall old dude with glasses and that doesn’t speak English well started speaking loud at me saying that I did not order because there was no date on the app that I showing him. I litteraly order pickup everyday at osmows without any problem and there’s is never a date it’s just time for pickup, but when you show past order there’s the date as well but he would not understand at all. I showed him that it was saying that my order was being prepared and he still did not get it and speaking louder and pounder like I was some frauder and the fact that HE RECOGNIZED ME from coming everyday. I said that it’s fine I can repay the 12$, it was litteraly just 12 bucks and he was making a big scene in the restaurant. I hate these kind of drama queen for unnecessary scene, I was offering to pay it again…. Thanks fully another staff came to help me and gave me my food. The dude was like we’re giving you food for free like some of charity. It’s my first time posting a review but since I’m in montreal it’s litteraly the first time that something like this happened to me. They just lost a loyal client really really...
