Had the Pleasure of finding out about this Gem at the Yelpoween and made sure to give them a visit today !

What a beautiful Location.. the place is So beautiful and welcoming.. it was very busy inside lots of people ordering here and also dining in and sippin some great traditional Turkish coffee

Decor was festive for the holidays

Service : immaculate 5+++++ there lots of attendants behind the counter serving people non stop .. it's a number basis so you pick up a number and you wait for your to be called We had the pleasure to meet with the owner he truly cares about all his customers and makes sure you are well taken care of.

They offer wonderful Catering for parties etc so thats a big relief and they are really nice about it!

Food: To DIE FOR literally !!!! The pastries arE FRESH Handmade fresh fresh fresh all the time.. we decided to sit and enjoy some KNAFA with pistachio coating and Turkish coffee wow it was the perfect mix... I loved it ! I swear it's the best tasting pastries It's authentic in Flavour from the middle east.

We also had to get some to go and we were having people Over and I decided we had to serve this over coffee with the Family.

We had some lahmajoun mini pizzas for dinner and they were deelish. Everything here is to die for and we enjoyed everything equally!

Location : they moved and it was a bit confusing but worth the little u turn detour its still on L'acadie just further down

Overall ..this pastry place is a gem and totally worth trying it out! Will be back...

*2ND ANSWER (1st comment at below)........ *ANSWER REGARDING OF OWNER RESPONSE...........

it's not misunderstanding at all. if you tell that the cakes in the front are fresh that means the lady on the wheel chair definitely lied to me ! i ask at the counter i need a fresh big size white vanilla cake. the lady on the wheel chair told me that since it is fresh, it needs to be kept in the freezer to condense. after put into box, she didn't give it to me. she told me, "after your dinner you can take it." but after the dinner when we came back to home my family was so disappointed. my kids wanna eat it but it was completely frozen. we've to leave it for the next day. and the taste was not good either ! We never like frozen cake.

we wanted Fresh cake, not the frozen cake. it's cheating ...... the lady on the wheel chair cheated us ! You must admit your mistakes !

1St REVIEW*

I was asked them fresh cake. They told me that after make it,they put it into fridge to concentrate. I bought large pastry cake but They gave me completely frozen and ice Pastry cake! Even they didn't gave me the packet during my dinner. They told me that to take it at my depart. But when I saw it at home, it was completely ice !

They just...

I've heard about Mahrouseh and it's expertise in deserts and fi get foods from my Toronto crew. I had to see for myself and Oh My Allah. Where to start. I walked in and there was this super energetic man dressed in tradition Souk Hamidiyya style clothes carrying on his back a big berry juice canister. He gave a glass while joyfully saying that while you drink from this juice you won't forget me. You really have to see this with your own eyes to know what I'm talking about. I felt as if I just stepped in to one of those old hoods in the middle east. The Baklava was awesome, the Maamoul was super yummy and I liked the pistachio and dates stuffed ones. I love my Oozi (ball of rice meat and some veggies better heated in the oven and served with a bowl of Laban or plain youghurt) SO GOOD!!! At the end, the cashier staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Keep in mind, the staff all across all the counters were handing us foods to taste and try. If that is not the way you lure customers into buying more and increasing the take out expense, I don't know what is. Very nice strategy and very much appreciated the experience.

I came down from Toronto specifically to try this wonderful place. It was well worth...

A really amazing service and the best sweets I had in Canada. I live in Vancouver. Unfortunately, there is no good Arab sweet shops in here. I am from Lebanon originally and have lots of Arab friends in Vancouver and we all long for a nice Sweet Patisserie like the ones back home. One of my friends told me about Mahrouse and how tasty the sweets were when he visited Montreal earlier this summer. I thought of trying and see if I can order to Vancouver. When I contacted them I was in touch with Paola. And man what a pleasant person she was. There is good service then great service and then there is Paola. The best it can get in customer service. In One day I got Baklava and Karabeej delivered from Montreal to Vancouver. 1 kg baklava almost gone in one day. That is how good the sweets are. One more thing I wanted to add is the generosity of Mahrouse. I was in between ordering Karabeej or Maamoul and ended up going for Karabeej. In my order I saw that they included Maamoul as a gift for me to try. That says something about the business. I will be telling all my friends and family about this place. I hope they open a location in Vancouver. That will be a real treat.

Hands down one of the best middle Eastern desserts places I have ever had the pleasure of trying in Montreal and quite possibly Canada. It truly recreates the taste and experience of visiting of the authentic stores in middle Eastern countries. It starts by walking into the stores and the aromatic smell of rose and blossom water welcomes you into a truly impressive and beautifully designed place. They have a variety of all the baklava and other pastries (balorieh, burma). They also have the best kenafah I have ever had here. It goes quite well with coffee. It's very flavourful but not overly sweet or heavy. They also have a truly amazing traditionally hand pounded ice cream that is rolled in pistachio. The store also delivers to Canada and the US. What truly sets the place apart is also the service. Some of the most friendly and welcoming staff work here and the lady who was helping us was ever so gracious and kind. A must place to visit if you are in Montreal and well worth the drive if you are out of town. Highly recommended.
