I visited the bar with my wife and three of our best friends. It was the first time we'd all been out together since the start of the pandemic, so I was ready to have a good time and truly indulge.
I started off with a pint of Trip d'Automne, soon followed by the Mac&Cheese. Man, that Mac&Cheese was so good I must've shoveled it in a little too quickly for my digestive system. While my stomach did its best to break down the food in my alimentary canal, I decided to have another beer, the Double IPA.
After we had all finished our meals and drunk our beers, we said goodbye. The night was over, but truly it was only the beginning. That Mac&Cheese had other plans for me.
Let me add that I have a sensitive stomach. Most of my meals consist of plain and simple ingredients. If I eat a potato, it is lightly buttered. If I eat pasta, it is garnished with a sprinkling of salt and a dab of olive oil. So you can imagine how that super rich, creamy, cheese-heavy Mac&Cheese wreaked havoc once I returned home.
I will spare you the details, but I will mention that there were two visits to the washroom, each lasting a good 15 minutes, and more than one orifice involved.
