Review for Sparta Chicken I recently visited Sparta Chicken, located at Guy street, Montréal, and it was a delightful experience! This casual Greek restaurant specializes in halal, charcoal-grilled chicken and crispy fries, and it absolutely delivers on flavor and value. The star of the show is their grilled chicken—tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a unique Mediterranean spice blend that has a slight tangy kick. I opted for the spicy half-chicken plate, served over a generous bed of well-seasoned fries, and it was fantastic. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a smoky char that elevated every bite, and the fries were crispy and fresh, complementing the meal beautifully. The portion was huge, making it a great bang for your buck, especially for a quick dinner after exploring nearby attractions like the Oratory. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with a youthful vibe that suits students and families alike. The staff, including a notably friendly server (shoutout to Mohammed!), were attentive and quick, ensuring our order was spot-on despite a busy evening. The only minor hiccup was the washroom, which could use a bit more attention to cleanliness. For anyone craving authentic Greek-style chicken with a Montreal twist, Sparta Chicken is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for their souvlaki pita and to try their hot sauce, which I’ve heard is a game-changer! Highly recommend for a tasty, affordable meal. Mohammed and Ayub were...
Read moreThe food was extremely mediocre. It says being a Greek restaurant, but I never came across any Greek restaurant where you have to buy a Tzaziki separately for a bland chicken skewer. The fries were thrown in a plate, like the restaurant is making a favor on us. The prices were super high like a fine dining Greek restaurant. There were mice traps everywhere, the place was not clean. This place must be inspected by food inspector asap
Response to the owner's reply - Wow, such a rude person you are. FYI, I do go out regularly and enjoy nice meals at great places. I do know much about food as well, so please hold your suggestions to me. I have yet to figure out the restaurant which charge a customer nearly 10$ for a single bland chicken skewer, small fries and a drink. Your fries are not even homemade. The frozen fries from Provigo are even better than yours. I have eaten in Greek restaurants many times. I never paid for an extra Tziziki when I ordered a souvlaki. Why do sell a chicken skewer trio as souvlaki in your restaurant? If you want to give more options to a customer, then sell it as a chicken skewer and not a SOUVALAKI. It is a false representation of a Greek dish. Montreal is full of nice Greek restaurants. Rather than suggesting me to go out more often, I strongly recommend you to visit other Greek restaurants, learn more about the Greek food and the manners how to talk...
Read moreWhere to start? Well, customer service way below average Thats doesn’t mean they were rude, but they lack customer service skills and professionalism. The place need a lot of cleaning and organizing. Kitchen looks very messy, washroom were very very dirty with no hand soap!. Place definitely need more lighting. You need a better quality utensils, you can’t eat chicken with cheap utensils. Menu need to be studied, its missing a lot of things to be better. This restaurant has a huge potential to grow and expand, but not with the existing management. Lets talk about the food now. I really like the concept and i like to see it grow, but i didn’t really like the food. They took 10 to prepare the food, 1 1/2 chicken trio and a chicken salad, which is great 👍 but the inside of the 1/2 chicken wasn’t cooked properly and was cold which is disappointing. Chicken salad and fries were okay. I may give them another try in few...
